Andre Gray has been deadly in the box for Burnley today. He's had four shots in the area, scoring from three of them.

The ball laid back by Eden Hazard was genius, 10/10. It was such deftness of touch. That is an exceptional team goal.

    Willian (57 mins)

A beautifully constructed goal from Chelsea.

They could have lost their heads and their style as they chased the lead, but instead Victor Moses does up Erik Pieters like a kipper, Eden Hazard cushions his cross into the path of Willian and the Brazilian thumps home a low shot as four Stoke defenders arrive a little too late on the scene.

    Andre Gray (53 mins)

A hat-trick for Andre Gray! Again, it's nothing more than a ball played at the heart of the Sunderland defence. Ashley Barnes controls, plays in Gray, who finishes from 12 yards. Sunderland are all over the shop.

    Chelsea 1-1 Stoke

This is a test of Chelsea's title credentials.

Stoke look buoyed by getting a return ticket back into the match and are in the mood to turn this into a dogfight.

Ryan Shawcross checks Diego Costa with a foul that falls just short of a yellow card.

    Swansea 0-2 Bournemouth

Do Swansea fancy a second-half revival for their old mucker Alan Curtis?

    The early signs are good.

Swansea's first corner of the game causes problems for Artur Boruc, who gets a limp punch to the ball - Kyle Naughton picks it up on the edge of the area but his shot is charged down.

The Cherries reply as Jack Wilshere dances down the middle of the park and feeds Junior Stanislas for a tame effort.

  8. 'Mannone's decision-making is awful'published at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Burnley 2-0 Sunderland

    Trevor Sinclair
Ex-Man City & West Ham winger on Final Score

I think that's the reason Vito Mannone's not still at Arsenal - he can stop a shot but his decision making is awful.

Sunderland's defence hasn't turned up today, you could have driven a double-decker bus through their defence just then.

  9. 'What a goal!'published at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Southampton 1-2 West Brom

    Alex Bruce
Hull City defender on Final Score

Robson-Kanu has had to wait patiently since the summer for his chance, but Tony Pulis has seen in training that he deserves a chance to start. And my, has Pulis been proved right. What a goal!

I think the keeper got his fingers to it, but that was hit with such venom that his fingers are probably still in the back of the net!

    Ouch...

    Andre Gray (51 mins)

It's no more than Burnley deserve. Andre Gray had already had one effort saved by Vito Mannone in the second half, this time he's mugged the Sunderland keeper off and bagged his second of the game. Nothing more than a hoof forward, Gray gets there first, nipping the ball round Mannone to leave him flapping around like a man with no boxers on. After that, all is left is to roll into an empty net.

    Hal Robson-Kanu (50 mins)

I'm not saying that it is better than his goal against Belgium, but holy heck this is one clean strike from Hal Robson-Kanu.

The Wales forward spins into space behind the Southampton defence and onto Matt Phillips' neat reverse ball. He then realises he has not got the pace to get away from the chasing defenders and instead thwacks a mighty rising shot past Fraser Forster and into the top corner.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

Tony Pulis removes Allan Nyom before referee Lee Mason does.

The West Brom defender is switched for James McClean.

Mark Noble isn't the sort to go down unless he's in a bit of bother.

Leicester's Daniel Amartey grates a high foot down the West Ham captain's knee and he'll need a bit of treatment.

While Stoke are scoring, the other five Premier League games are just starting their second halves.

At Burnley there's a change, as Sunderland take off the injured Victor Anichebe for Steven Pienaar.

    Bruno Martins Indi (46 mins)

    Goodness.

Chelsea are caught cold by some old-school Route One football.

A big heave into the Blues box and Peter Crouch clambers highest in the melee to direct a knock-down into the path of Bruno Martins Indi.

The big defender slashes a shin at the ball and manages to send it squirming into the far corner.

    Parity.

  18. Postpublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Chelsea 1-0 Stoke

There is a nice balance to Chelsea's central midfield partnership.

N'Golo Kante carries the water, Cesc Fabregas serves it up on a silver platter.

Kante has gained possession five times - a team-high total - while Fabregas has racked up 42 touches and 30 passes in the opposition half - more than any other player.
