Just three goals so far in all of the 15:00 GMT kick-offs in League One.

Bolton go into half-time with a narrow 1-0 lead over rivals Scunthorpe, and could end the year second in the table.

Coventry City have given themselves a lifeline. They're still in the relegation zone but they've got a 1-0 half-time lead away at Peterborough.

And high-flying Bradford City are behind at Bury, who are desperate for a win to move clear of the bottom four.

  2. Championship latestpublished at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

Only one game in the Championship's 15:00 GMT kick offs has seen goals with Barnsley leading 2-1 at home to Birmingham. Derby v Wigan, Preston v Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves v QPR are all goalless.

Bournemouth's second goal was one for the purists.

A lovely move worked from the left to the right before a slippery one-two between Jack Wilshere and Junior Stanislas and then the Ryan Fraser finish.

Lots of anger in the Twittersphere about that decision at Old Trafford...

Gary Richardson: If that's disallowed keepers should be penalised every time they come out and punch a ball away near an attackers head.

Corin Wright: So Zlatan isn't allowed to use his feet to score that? Which sport are we watching again?

Shane O'Neill: If the FA hired 16 year-olds to officiate in the EPL, they couldn't do any worse than those employed now to do the job.

James: The disallowed goal at Old Trafford is wrong, plain and simple. How long can the FA refuse to use technology!

Mike Henson and Chris Osborne would like to make it clear that they have no opinion on the Manchester United 'goal'. Therefore, judge for yourself who believes it was correctly ruled out...

    Manchester United 0-0 Middlesbrough

Plenty of replays of the Manchester United 'goal'. It's not a stretch to say that anywhere else on the field it would definitely be a free-kick for a high foot.

  7. Bookings at Leicesterpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Leicester City 1-0 West Ham

A couple of talking points at the end of that first half at the King Power.

Robert Huth put in a stiff, but winning, tackle on Dimitri Payet. The referee Anthony Taylor had a long look and decided the one-footed challenge was a tad dangerous - booking for Huth.

Kasper Scmeichel has to save Payet's free-kick down to his left.

And then Demarai Gray gets his wriggle on in the West Ham half and looks to get in on goal - Angelo Ogbonna pulls him back and he joins Huth in the book.

Riyad Mahrez takes the free-kick which Darren Randolph saves.

Now - you're up to date.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Burnley 1-0 Sunderland

This isn't turning out to be a great day for Sunderland. Behind at Burnley, they now look to have lost Victor Anichebe, who pulled up like a man who had been shot in the leg. Left hammy has gone. They'll need to sort that one during the break.

Oakwell is being greedy and seeing all of the goals in the Championship so far this afternoon.

Barnsley had gone 2-0 up but Jacques Maghoma has pulled one back for Birmingham and they now trail 2-1.

In League One, Bury have taken the lead at promotion-chasing Bradford while in League Two Notts County have turned things around against Carlisle. They were 1-0 down but now lead 2-1. Elsewhere, Accrington are 1-0 up at Crewe and Colchester lead 2-1 at Stevenage as half-time approaches.

Brilliant team goal, with a lot of tempo and imagination.

It's tiki-taka football in the hardest area of the pitch to play, and they've torn the opposition apart.

    Southampton 1-1 West Brom

Allan Nyom is a lucky fella.

The West Brom man is caught by suprise by Shane Long's turn of pace and clatters into the back of the Southampton striker in a bundle of limbs.

Already booked, he pleads for mercy from referee Mike Jones and gets it.

Southampton come close to scrambling in a second from the resulting free-kick and that is your lot...

GOAL - Swansea 0-2 Bournemouthpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Ryan Fraser (45+2 mins)

Oh this is a lovely little goal.

Junior Stanislas gets a return pass from Jack Wilshere to saunter into the Swansea area and then rolls across a simple ball for Ryan Fraser to tuck it in.

Bournemouth look good - Swansea look, well, like they have done for most of the season.

    Chelsea 1-0 Stoke

Diego Costa wins a debate over free-kick rights with Eden Hazard and Willian, but weakens his case to take the next as he wallops his shot deep into the stand behind the Stoke goal.

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Leicester City 1-0 West Ham

West Ham are getting a foothold back into this lively game.

Aaron Cresswell slaps in a low cross from the left and Michail Antonio - by far the Hammers' best player today - hooks in a shot that crashes into the bar.

At the other end, Marc Albrighton slips in a lovely daisy cutter for Islam Slimani, only for Havard Nordtveit to make a great interception.

Imer Cardona: Bad decision by the ref (again). Zlatan's foot nowhere near Valdes.

RegularJon: Not a foul in a million years. Valdes didn't challenge for the ball and Zlatan didn't touch him. Shocking shocking decision.

Shane O'Neill: Valdez should be booked for simulation. Zlatan had the ball in the net before any contact was made, and Valdez hit him. Joke.
