    Chelsea 0-0 Stoke

Stoke sniff blood in the water as Victor Moses is hurried into a backpass.

Erik Pieters and Peter Crouch both hare towards Thibaut Courtois, but the Blues goalkeeper's touch is assured and he gets the ball clear.

    Manchester United 0-0 Middlesbrough

Boro haven't only come to frustrate United, they have started well, but this is their first real alarm. Anthony Martial (Tony Marshall to his mates) dances down the left, taking about six blue shirts with him. He tries to find Ibrahimovic in the box, but the cross is snuffed out by a sea of Teesside humanity.

    Leicester City 0-0 West Ham

Andy Carroll hasn't exactly played a sack full of football recently. And that ring rust is possibly showing.

The big man puts a header from a corner well wide and then rolls a pass straight out of play.

Michail Antonio is hungry for goals though, as he meets an Aaron Cresswell cross at the back post but side-foots over the bar.

Chelsea have started well, they look to be moving the ball about quickly.

Diego Costa hasn't quite got involved yet, but Stoke have got it all to do.

    Southampton 0-0 West Brom

Southampton have dominated the early exchanges at St Mary's. West Brom have been pressed on to the back foot, soaking up the early pressure and trying to get a handle on the intelligent darts of Shane Long.

West Ham have finally settled the nerves after some early jitters - Michail Antonio has a go from distance but it deflects wide.

  7. Postpublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Swansea 0-0 Bournemouth

Not too much to report from the Liberty Stadium.

Ki Sung-yueng set the tone 30 seconds in by wrapping a tackle around Ryan Fraser.

Fraser's Bournemouth team-mate Andrew Surman wasn't happy and gave Ki a bit of a shove.

Season of goodwill and all that.

  8. Postpublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Chelsea 0-0 Stoke

The first glint of danger from Eden Hazard as he swerves outside his man and drills low and hard from 20 yards.

The considerable bulk of Bruno Martins Indi gets in the way to divert the ball wide for a corner.

N'Golo Kante trundles a shot wide from the edge of the box from the set-piece.

That has got the Stamford Bridge fans buzzing a bit though.

    Burnley 0-0 Sunderland

A bright start at Turf Moor, this one isn't cagey. Adnan Januzaj has blasted over for Sunderland, Andre Gray has done the same for Burnley.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Leicester City 0-0 West Ham

Whatever turkey Leicester ate over the festive period - I want some.

Marc Albrighton gets in a deep cross and Islam Slimani stretches his already stretchy frame to get in a header that puts the ball against the post.

West Ham fans voted the post their man of the match against Hull the other week - and the woodwork is already having a blinder here.

  11. Postpublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Chelsea 0-0 Stoke

Peter Crouch has got a solo gig up front for Stoke. He is holding the ball up well as David Luiz opts to stand off, but Ibrahim Afellay and Xherdan Shaqiri cannot get forward fast enough to support him.

  12. Postpublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Manchester United 0-0 Middlesbrough

What on earth is this? Middlesbrough might not get a better chance all afternoon and Adama Traore has blown it. In fact, it wasn't even that good. A break from a corner, three on one, Traore doesn't pass and instead puts in the sort of shot that your grandma would be embarrassed by. Awful.

    Riyad Mahrez shootsImage source, Reuters

How long does it take Riyad Mahrez to make an impact?

    About 55 seconds.

Dropped on Boxing Day, Mahrez is straight into the mix, hitting a dipping shot on the half volley from the edge of the area - Darren Randolph in the West Ham goal pulls off a decent save.

Leicester v West Ham (15:00 GMT)

    Trevor Sinclair
Ex-West Ham winger on Final Score

Something isn't quite right at Leicester, it has to be down to motivation.

You have players like Riyad Mahrez, who was the best player in the league last season, but is laughing on the bench this season. I can't quite put my finger on what's gone wrong.

Fans of League One leaders Scunthorpe will be hoping to see more of these celebrations from winger Hakeeb Adelakun when they take on third-placed Bolton in a match that could be defining in the race for automatic promotion to the Championship.

There are five other 15:00 GMT kick-offs in the third tier, including the bottom two Coventry and Oldham at Peterborough and Fleetwood respectively.

Southend's game against Charlton has just finished, with the two sides sharing a 1-1 draw while Sheffield United are seconds away from beating Northampton 1-0.

Manchester United v Middlesbrough (15:00 GMT)

The players are in the tunnel at OT as Sir Alex Ferguson takes his seat and waves to someone he knows. He's still got his chewing gum, obviously. A lifetime supply isn't going to chew itself, is it?

Eden Hazard of ChelseaImage source, Reuters

Chelsea look unstoppable at the moment, and they are a team full of match-winners. Stoke's biggest problem today might be keeping Eden Hazard quiet, but the form he's in I can't see it happening.

I think it'll be a Blues win today, despite how well-drilled Stoke will doubtlessly be.
