Arsenal are being forced into a couple of early changes here. Laurent Koscielny is holding his hanmsting after trying to reach for a ball over the defence for Robert Lewandowski and he is coming off.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper David Ospina is clutching his shoulder after a meaty challenge by Douglas Costa...

No changes at half time but Mohamed Elneny could be an early sub for Arsenal. He was warming up a fair bit at half time.

Just 21.2% possession for Arsenal in the first half but they did manage to get more shots on target (5) than Bayern (3).

That was a good first-half performance by Arsenal away from home. They had to soak up plenty of pressure but seem to have nullified the threat posed by Arjen Robben and Philipp Lahm down the flank.

You'd have to think Arsene Wenger will be the happier of the two managers but there's a long way to go yet.

Mithraa varun: Iwobi has just been a passenger today, should bring on Giroud and unleash Sanchez and Ox on the full backs. Maybe even Elneny.

Luke: Arsenal should be 3-1 up. Welbeck for Iwobi and Bayern are done. How many worldy's in their locker?

Hanz Maulwurst: Arsenal got lucky with the penalty, Sanchez is playing his heart out though, and even Ozil is jogging around! Could be a win!

For Arsenal for 30 minutes it was worrying - but they got that penalty and suddenly the belief grew. The more you look at Bayern's centre-half pairing now, there are gaps and opportunities there. If Arsene Wenger is brave, there can be more goals for Arsenal.

How Real Madrid have not scored another goal I don't know, Karim Benzema has had a bucket load of chances.

Big moment for Arsenal! A goal before the break for Arsenal would make things hugely interesting and Mesut Ozil is through down the left but his shot is straight at Maneul Neuer.

Some nice, one touch football opens up a chance for Real Madrid as Cristiano Ronaldo has space down the right. He plays a sublime ball behind the defence for Karim Benzema, but he scuffs his shot just wide of the far post.

Mesut Ozil has had a limited affect but he's not a player who's going to win the ball back and create from there. He'll hope to be given the ball in dangerous positions in the final third and Arsenal have had so little of the ball in those areas you don't know if he's in form or not.

Still, they carry a threat and Robert Lewandowski should score as he rises to meet a cross but nods over.

Douglas Costa lashes an effort well, well over from the edge of the area and holds up an apologetic hand. Bayern Munich looked so calm and composed as they built their attacks early in this game, but are a bit panicky on the ball now.
