Mesut Ozil has been pretty quiet so far but he picks Arturo Vidal's pocket and sets off on a charge to the Bayern box. He feeds Alexis Sanchez, who then plays the ball to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the overlap. The Arsenal midfielder waits then clips the ball into the middle of the area for Granit Xhaka, who thumps an effort straight at Manuel Neuer. Good chance!

Robert Lewandowski fires just over after Arturo Vidal hooked a Thiago cross back into the dangerzone. 

This is a cracking tie.

Jeers boom around the Allianz Arena as Bayern Munich fans scream for a penalty as a cross appears to hit Hector Bellerin's hand. Referee Milorad Mazic is interested in awarding a spot kick, despite Bayern's appeals.

Bayern have dominated possession and looked unplayable for the first 20 minutes or so of this game but suddenly Arsenal have come to life.

Alexis Sanchez is a bit too eager to make something happen, though, as he jabs Javi Martinezin the midriff when trying to pinch the ball. Referee spots it and books the Arsenal forward.

There's always a fear if you're a team that's not defending much - are you up for it n those little moments where teams break on you? Arsenal have had two opportunities and from one of them they get a penalty and, kind of, score from it.

Ronaldo's head is in his hands. He's through on goal 12 yards out and he skies it over the bar.

It's not often he misses from there and he knows it.

Bayern Munich have sensed a weakness and are attacking it mercilessly at the moment. They are having a field day down Arsenal's left and even though Granit Xhaka has been brought back to double up on Arjen Robben, the winger still manages to find space, cut in on his left but this time his carbon-copy shot is deflected behind.

Arsenal have offered almost nothing in attack.

Any sign of a Real Madrid fight back? Not yet, Napoli are looking comfortable and seeing most of the ball. How long can they keep it up for?

Andy White:  It's February and Arsenal are losing in the Champions League again. Nothing if not consistent.

Oz: Was just about to say Ospina over Cech will prove to be a mistake but even Cech wouldnt be able to save that.

Alistair Wiseman: Cech and Ospina together wouldn't have saved that!

Arsenal players need to keep their cool and get a foot on this. They certainly don't want any of their defenders walking a tightrope by picking up an early booking but that's what Shkodran Mustafi gets for a lazy challenge.

Bayern are running the show at the moment. 

Robert Lewandowski is momentarily through on goal thanks to Mats Hummels' pass through the eye of a needle. Fortunately Lewandowski gets the ball trapped under his feet, giving the visitors chance to regroup.

Thomas Muller couldn't look any comfier on the Bayern bench. Will we see him feature later?

Bayern don't need him at the moment.
