So, Tottenham have lost their place in the Europa League and Leicester have rid themselves of the manager that won them the unlikeliest of titles nine months ago.

Not a great night for either club.

    Tottenham 2-2 Gent (agg 2-3)

What a night for Gent. They weren't in control of the game but they have a famous win.

It is a horror show for Tottenham, though. They dominated but have exited their second European competition of the season. There will also be questions for Dele Alli to answer after a shocking challenge, for which he saw red.

Danijel Milicevic gets in a mess with his keeper, heading the ball out of his hands, but no Spurs player can capitalise.

    Tottenham 2-2 Gent (agg 2-3)

He hasn't gone right for Harry Kane tonight. He scored an own goal in the first half and he hasn't had his radar on in the Gent box. He tries to curl a shot inside the far post but sends it a yard wide.

Spurs win two corners in quick succession. Nothing comes of either of them, though. Three minutes of time will be added. Spurs need two goals.

Last throw of the dice. Not that it'll change anything. Vincent Janssen replaces Eric Dier, who looks ready to kill someone.

The Spurs players are losing their heads now. Harry Winks goes into the book for a frustrated foul.

Oh. What a miss. Tottenham's last chance has surely just disappeared into the Wembley stands. Son Heung-min is sent clear by Eriksen but he gets right under his shot and sends it high and over. Cracking conversion.

All the noise is coming from the Gent fans. They're on their feet, dancing and absolutely loving this. The Tottenham fans are heading for the exits.

    Jeremy Perbet

All over. He scored in the first leg and now Jeremy Perbet has scored in London to send Spurs spinning out of the Europa League.

The goal comes from a break by Kalifa Coulibaly, who charges in to the box and digs out a cross that Eric Dier makes a huge mess of, chesting the ball down for Perbet to poke in past Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham need two goals in eight minutes.

Another Tottenham corner. This time they take it short but Son Heung-min is tackled in the box and the ball is cleared. Lot of nervous faces in this stadium now. 10 minutes for Spurs to find a goal.

Tottenham corner. It is swung in by Eriksen and met by Alderweireld but headed wide.

Surely in terms of decency, respect and integrity, Ranieri should have been allowed to get them out of this mess.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Tottenham 2-1 Gent (agg 2-2)

A change each. Harry Winks is on for Tottenham for Mousa Dembele. Gent send on their scorer from the first leg, Jeremy Perbet for Moses Simon, whose last act was missing the header that could have sealed the tie.

Frustration. Walker is very late with a sliding tackle on Rami Gershon. It earns him a yellow card.

  17. CLOSE!published at 73 mins

    Tottenham 2-1 Gent (agg 2-2)

The Gent fans are cheering. They think they've scored. Moses Simon is completely unmarked at the back post but plants his header into the side-netting. Tottenham survive to fight on.

Son Heung-min turns in the box and falls after some contact from his marker's dangling leg. I've seen them given.
