Forget the midweek FA Cup win over Bolton, Crystal Palace are in dire trouble.

The arrival of Sam Allardyce hasn't brought a new manager 'bounce effect'. One league win in 15 is alarming. Twenty seven points from their last 38 league games is clear relegation form.

Their run-in is sinister too, facing the top five clubs in their final nine matches.

Will Sam Allardyce and Crystal Palace be in the relegation zone by the end of the day? It will require a couple of coupon-busting results for it to happen.

Palace will stay out of the bottom three if they beat Everton (15:00 GMT) at Selhurst Park yet a defeat or a draw against the Toffees, together with a win for bottom club Swansea (away at Liverpool 12:30 GMT) or Sunderland (away at West Brom 15:00 GMT) will suck the Eagles into the drop zone.

Definitely mugged off there. Who really believes that Gordon Strachan catches a bus anywhere? Then again, he could be the frugal type.

It fits that Gary Neville would ride side-saddle on a motorbike. You can't imagine that he'd be cool enough to take the handles of a chopper, can you?

While we're on the subject of The Great Peter Crouch, you can hear the Stoke man talk about his infamous 'Robot' goal celebration on today's Football Focus.

The 35-year-old former England striker celebrated his pre-2006 World Cup friendly goals against Hungary and Jamaica by contorting his body in to mechanical harmony.

"I've had so many people say to me 'if you get your 100th goal you've got to do it'," Crouch tells Football Focus.

"The pressure is taking it's toll!"

Manchester United were left frustrated when the sides met earlier this season, when a rare mistake by David de Gea helped Joe Allen snatch a late equaliser.

That point lifted Mark Hughes's team off the bottom at the time, but they've improved considerably since, as have United, who haven't lost in the league for three months.

Stoke forward Bojan Krkic is available again after missing the victory over Sunderland because of injury.

Mame Diouf, Ramadan Sobhi and Wilfried Bony are at the Africa Cup of Nations but manager Mark Hughes has no fresh injury worries.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has a near full-strength squad to choose from.

Defender Eric Bailly remains unavailable as he is on international duty with the Ivory Coast.

Still, to break any sort of record, Rooney would have to get himself on the pitch, when the bench has been his habitat for most of the season.

There are two potential goalscoring landmarks to look out for in the Potteries today. 

Wayne Rooney needs one more to become Manchester United's outright record goalscorer, while Peter Crouch is one shy of a century of Premier League goals.

I think we can all agree that Simon is talking about two great England strikers here...

Given that Swansea conceded four against Arsenal, any kind of positive result at Anfield will be a bonus.

Paul Clement is aware of the size of his task to keep Swansea in the top flight. His more immediate challenge against Jurgen Klopp's team is just as daunting.

Right-back Nathaniel Clyne may return after missing the last two matches with a rib injury.

Swansea's new signing Luciano Narsingh is unlikely to play because the winger has a slight calf problem.
