That is your lot for tonight.

Next up for Manchester United is Arsenal away on Sunday.

Will that be the moment that their season shuts down to to one front?

Let's see. For tonight, it is job done and match won.

Celta Vigo's work rate, their structure and their organisation was fine.

But there was nothing extra from these players - there was no "wow" moment.

It's not about this Celta Vigo team now. It's about how Manchester United turn up next week.

One thing Mourinho will want to think about, is this could have been finished tonight. Once again, they didn't take the opportunities to finish this tie off but that is the story of United's season.

They still have to turn up next Thursday.

More from Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho: "Marcus Rashford is a 19-year-old kid who is in love with football. He stays after training for half an hour to practice taking free-kicks and waits for the opportunity.

"He works and works and works so we can forget his age.

"He started the game with a little problem and with all the running he was feeling it.

"We tried to win the match but we missed chances. The team played well, they were compact against a team who are difficult to play against."

  4. 'The result is open'published at 22:18 British Summer Time 4 May 2017

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to BT Sport: "I am very pleased with the performance but not with the result.

"At half-time we should have been three or at least two but the result is open.

"We played well enough to have the result closed but we have to go and play at Old Trafford.

"Let's hope Old Trafford want us to win because when Old Trafford wants it, we win."

Jose Mourinho is just fulfilling his post-match media duties with a satchel slung over his shoulder, just in case they fail to get to the hint that he want to keep it short and sweet.

He says he is happy with the performance, but not the scoreline.

    Full quotes to come.

Tom Castle: It's about that point in the season when Mourinho tosses the medical team under the bus.

Fissuh Hailu: There is some problem in this United body management. So many injuries.

They can take this result to Old Trafford with tremendous confidence. Manchester United the better side by some considerable margin.

They scored one - they could have got two or three goals but that is their story of the season.

For Celta Vigo to go to Old Trafford and take a win - that's a lot to ask.

When Man United turn up with the right attitude they are unstoppable. There was nothing wrong with their attitude tonight. They are half way to a European final.

Strange old game that. Plenty of chances, most for United, but a few for Celta.

But between those opportunities the quality was lacking and the opening goal seemed to suck the belief out of the previously raucous home fans.

The football Twitterati seem a bit split by what they have seen.

Manchester United's players stroll across to clap the travelling contingent.

Sergio Romero gets plenty of backslaps and bearhugs from his team-mates after a solid performance from the United number two.

But the injuries keep racking up. Both Marcus Rashford and Ashley Young have picked up knocks.
