Paul Pogba with a cheeky cheap-shot free-kick, firing in a quick long-range effort from 40 yards.

Sergio Alvarez is out of position, but the ball slides just wide as he desperately crabs across to cover his exposed near post.

    Nice thought from Pogba.

Pione Sisto beats Antonio Valenica once, twice, three times, chopping inside and outside before finally supplying a dangerous waist-height cross.

Eric Bailly does well to get his head to the ball before John Guidetti's studs.

    Celta Vigo 0-1 Man United

Manchester United will remember what happened in the first leg against Anderlecht in the previous round, where they controlled the game in Belgium but conceded a late equaliser to breathe life into the hosts' hopes.

They can't afford to go back into their shell.

It's worth underlying that Marcus Rashford has been outstanding tonight.

He has frightened the living daylights out of that Celta defence and he only gets better.

And he will get better because there are plenty of areas he can improve in.

    Celta Vigo 0-1 Man United

Marcus Rashford is heading to the sidelines. Pretty slowly.

It looks like the United striker has got a knock. He is hobbling. The Celta Vigo players are unimpressed though and encourage him to get a shift on in between moaning to the referee about the time taken.

Finally Anthony Martial is on in his place.

We are into the last 10 minutes.

A change for the hosts as Daniel Wass is withdrawn for Jozabed.

And United react by bringing Ashley Young on in place of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

That could have been the clincher.

The ball loops up invitingly to Jesse Lingard 15 yards out and the United winger RSVPs by return of post.

A crunching half-volley right off his instep, fizzes a yard wide and very nearly decapitates a ball boy behind the goal.

The little lad dived for cover behind the advertising hoarding.

Celta Vigo push the pace as Iago Aspas jags in off the right wing, playing a one-two with John Guidetti and trying to get a sight of goal on his favoured left peg.

No room for a shot so Aspas flips the ball out to full-back Jonny whose low cross he volleys wide.

The Celta Vigo fans have dropped the decibel level for the first time all evening.

What can their side find in response? They have had their chances. Not as many as United, but enough to be on the board.

    Twenty to go.

Brilliant from free kick from Manchester United.

You have to say everyone thought Blind would take that free kick - even the keeper took a step to the left. The two men at the end of the wall were blind-siding the keeper.

A goal right off training ground - A brilliant goal.

Marcus Rashford's pace and purpose wins the free-kick on the edge of the area and he dusts himself off to step up and curl a lovely shot out of the reach of goalkeeper Sergio Alvarez.

United have the away goal and the upper hand in the tie.

It's worth underlining Romero has had a really, really good game tonight.

He has handled these crosses with consummate ease. There is a real confidence about him and he has also had a really good save.

John Guidetti has more hustle than Wesley Snipes in White Men Can't Jump.

The Celta striker earns a corner as he yaps at the heels of Eric Bailly, forcing the United defender to usher the ball behind.

Sergio Romero gets up slam-dunk high to claim the corner though.

Simon Ngugi: Man United moving the ball slower than my kid is...and I have no kids.

Melvin J Bragg: Watching this game, can we not declare Ajax-Lyon a two legged final as neither Man Utd nor Celta deserve to go through?

Richard Sampson: United strong going forward, but can't score. Shaky at the back but don't concede. Strange season.

Lovely stuff right up until the final shot from Marcus Rashford.

The United striker flicks the ball around the corner and leaves Gustavo Cabral choking on dust with a surge of pace.

He has options left and right, but chooses to go alone. Wrong call. His shot screws wide off his right peg and towards the corner flag.
