I thought I recognised the name of the Serbia forward Aleksandar Prijovic who came on and made their goal. He was only on loan at my team Northampton in League One in 2009 wasn't he? He made his Serbia debut tonight.

It's a long way to the top, if you want to rock and roll...

Wales boss Chris Coleman: "It was a great point. But we were 1-0 up, they weren't peppering Wayne Hennessey. You expect a tough game here but we had chances over 90 minutes. You aren't going to come here and play open football, we did that before and you know what happened. We lost 6-1.

"I can't fault the players, they worked so so hard. Joe Ledley hasn't played for three months and he gave me 90 minutes, incredible.

"We can't seal the deal. Last campaign we saw them out but that's where we are. We weren't standing there biting our nails. It's all to play for. Serbia have got to go to Austria and the Republic of Ireland. It will go down to the wire.

"Can we bridge the gap? 100%."

    Serbia 1-1 Wales

Wales have games against Austria (h), Moldova (a), Georgia (a), Republic of Ireland (h) to come.

That last game of the group looks massive. But first Wales have to be beating Austria at home next time out in September.

Richard: 4 games, 5 leads conceded. 8 points that we've thrown away. That being said, Ramsey was colossal. Made things happen, didn't stop running, scored the cheekiest penalty.

Can Wales reach Russia? They are four points off top spot with four games left. So yes, mathematically anyway.

The final game of the group is Wales v Republic of Ireland in Cardiff. Colossal.

    Serbia 1-1 Wales

that is a chance! yet another great ball in, Aleksandar Mitrovic is steaming on to the cross, eyes wide shut! He gets a great leap in, Wayne Hennessey doesn't know whether to stick or twist, head it...WIDE!

There is a really top-rate target man in there somewhere.

Counter! Wales attack for the first time in a long time, Tom Lawrence runs at the Serbian defence and is tackled, the ball pops up for Ben Davies and he has to hit it. Has to be first time, but he shanks it way over the top. Tough chance but a chance.

Wales seem to be holding out at the minute, the pressure has eased off - the wave of pressure Serbia were putting on them.

A point away at Serbia is not a bad result.

Serbia continue to knock, knock, knock on the Wales door but this time Aleksandar Kolarov's cross is way too hot and goes clean out of play at the far side.

    Serbia 1-1 Wales

Out of nowhere, Wales craft a decent chance! Joe Allen bursts past a man and plays it through to Aaron Ramsey, who goes for another extravagant effort but his shot with the outside of his foot is well saved at the near post.

Maybe it's not all over for the night...

It's a wonderful finish but I just wonder if the referee will book Aleksandar Mitrovic - it's about 90 seconds of celebrating. No, the referee is not even interested in booking him.

He hasn't had a chance all night and that's what top players do - one chance and one goal.

Serbia had been pushing hard for that goal for a long time but Wales looked well set. Now the momentum is all with the men in red. A point here is a brilliant result now, no worries about that.

GOAL - Serbia 1-1 Walespublished at 73 mins

    Aleksandar Mitrovic

You can't say that wasn't coming.

Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who equalised in the meeting in Wales, strikes to do the same again.

Ben Davies gambles to try and cut a pass out, misses it, and Aleksandar Prijovic is in on goal, he has the awareness to slide in Mitrovic on the overlap, he skips past Ashley Williams and buries with his left foot.

    MASSIVE celebrations. Flares, the works.
