Richard: Can't stress how important this is. If we don't win, we don't qualify. It's that simple. Had we won the homes games against Georgia and Serbia, we could take a draw here. We didn't so we can't. Hoping Tom Lawrence gets on. He's a game changing match winner. Quick, direct and prone to scoring a worldie.

    Sort of

You may not care if you are a staunch Wales supporter, but it's not often England win a tournament, at any level.

So if you missed the game this morning, here's highlights as Dominic Calvert-Lewin's first-half goal gave England a 1-0 win over Venezuela in the U20 World Cup final.

As our man Dafydd pointed out a few minutes ago, it is a belter of an atmosphere in Belgrade. The Wales players will either shine or be silenced by it I feel.

    Almost time to go.

Chris Gunter becomes the third most-capped player in Welsh history tonight with his 79th appearance. A remarkable effort.

Can he celebrate with a win?

Stadion Rajko Mitic has the feel of a dilapidated old leisure centre, with its running track around the pitch, battered plastic seats and graffiti on the walls.

It makes for a great atmosphere, though.

Some Serbians were only expecting a crowd of around 30,000 in the 51,000-capacity ground, but it's at least three-quarters full with 20 minutes left before kick-off.

It's very noisy in here and, whenever the Wales fans make themselves heard, the home fans are at pains to drown them with boos.

  7. 'We have to be streetwise'published at 19:17 British Summer Time 11 June 2017

    Serbia v Wales (19:45 BST)

Wales boss Chris Coleman: "We are missing one or two but that gives opportunities. We will match up with Serbia in a formation we have been playing in the last few years. Our boys are well versed tactically.

"This will be a chess match. We have to be streetwise. We can't tear around the pitch, we have to be mentally wise and smart.

"The game lasts for 95 minutes, we know that. We can't lose tonight."

    Serbia v Wales (19:45 BST)

Wales are hit by suspension and injury problems tonight, and five of their starting XI are all a booking away from a ban of their own.

Chris Coleman could have even more headaches coming his way.

Can they win in Belgrade? We are expecting them to sit deep and hit on the break.

Gareth Bale had started the last 21 competitive games for Wales, who have won one of the last 10 games that he has missed.

The Stadion Rajko Matic, home of Red Star Belgrade, is a throwback.

A running track around the pitch means that if you are sat behind the goal you're an awful long way from the pitch.

The travelling Welsh support won't care of course - as long as they get the result they want.

  10. 'The hardest game we've got'published at 19:04 British Summer Time 11 June 2017

    Serbia v Wales (19:45 BST)

Wales' top scorer Ian Rush says that the side are capable of beating Serbia tonight - even without Gareth Bale.

"It's probably the hardest game we have got, Serbia away," said Rush.

"To get anything out of the game, Wales will have done well. It's a difficult one, but you have to believe in yourselves. We are good enough to beat Serbia.

"The players are going to put the work rate in, we know that. But we need that little bit more. A draw is not great for us, but I would not be too disappointed, it keeps you in there.

"The players are going to have to give one last effort, it's the last game, you've got a break after that."

The Republic of Ireland will now be hoping that Wales can do them a favour in Belgrade.

A draw is probably the dream result for the Irish.

‘It was my worst night in a Welsh shirt’

Joe Allen says Wales' squad can cope without Gareth Bale.

Real Madrid forward Bale misses the trip to Belgrade through suspension.

Stoke midfielder Allen said: "We see it as a chance to tackle that challenge and we are confident we still have enough in that squad to go out there and get a good result."

He also aims to use the motivation of Wales' 6-1 defeat by Serbia in 2012.

Allen described that September night as his "worst night in a Welsh shirt" and hopes memories of it can galvanise Wales against the Serbs.

About 50 minutes until kick-off in Belgrade then.

A win for Wales would leave them in third place, but just two points off the top of Group D. Game would be very much on.

Can they win without Gareth Bale though?

Ireland levelled it up with that late Jon Walters goal, but they also thought they'd won it in the last minute or so. But Shane Duffy's goal was disallowed for a foul on the line.

    Martin O'Neill not happy.

But it does mean that the Republic top Group D - a point ahead of Serbia.
