Paul Pogba played in a Youth Cup final for Manchester United and two at senior level for Juventus.

Providing nothing unexpected happens between now and 26 February, he will get to play in a senior final for United against Southampton at Wembley.

He will hope for better fortune that his 1976 counterparts, who were on the wrong end of one of the most famous FA Cup final shocks ever when Bobby Stokes scored the only goal against Tommy Docherty's side.

Another peach of a ball from Tom Huddlestone to free Abel Hernandez into the area, he is tackled and the ball falls for Lazar Markovic - who lashes it miles over the bar.

Rojo should score, he really should. Hull had no one on either post and Rojo gets too much on it really.

Off the bar! Marcos Rojo gets free at a corner, meets it well and heads back across goal, the ball bouncing off the top of the crossbar and away.

"Wembley! Wembley! We're the famous Man United and we're going to Wembley!" is the chant from the away end. 

Manchester United have made it to eight League Cup finals in the past, winning four. Jose Mourinho has won the trophy on three occasions.

Abel Hernandez is now on for Hull. A big ask for the big man from here. 

Hull must now score twice in the last 20-odd minutes to take us to extra time, and even then they would need to score a third because of that away goal.

It's unbelievable. Huddlestone does ever so well to get back and get a tackle in but unfortunately he just knocks it into Pogba's path and he gets a toe on it. Huddlestone reacts well, makes the challenge. Pogba, through the legs of Maguire, dear me.

One goal in the last 25 minutes and we go to extra time. I think Marco Silva would have settled for that before kick-off. Don't forget that Hull made seven changes tonight, and Robert Snodgrass is not involved.

Hull make another change and it's another new signing, Evandro, on in place of Shaun Maloney. 

Marcus Rashford has got to go more central hasn't he? He is played through on goal but Hull are relieved to see the offside flag raised.

Marcus Rashford hares down the left again, he goes down inside the area at full pelt but manages to tee up Ander Herrera, a real chance but he hits a shot straight at a Hull defender. 

Rashford didn't even appeal that one. 

Here he is, Lazar Markovic replaces Jarrod Bowen who has had a very decent game. He's got a trick and worked hard. 

Liverpool paid about £20m for Markovic if memory serves. Given the inflation in the transfer market he's probably worth about £40m now. Let's see what he can do. 

Hull City are now just keeping the ball across their back line, taking the sting out of the game. That's all well and good but they do still trail on aggregate.

Jose Mourinho made do with an angry wave of the hand when referee Jon Moss ignored Manchester United's latest penalty appeals just now.

However, a member of his coaching team and substitute Juan Mata went up to fourth official Craig Pawson to make their feelings known.

Interesting half hour or so ahead.

'Minute 53' could be mentioned by Jose Mourinho later if things go south for Manchester United. Former Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic is coming on for Hull. 

Wayne Rooney is warming up and he gets involved - very much as peacemaker - as Marcus Rashford and Jarrod Bowen have a bit of a shoving match near the corner flag. It's getting a bit tetchy. Tasty.
