  12. Martial's missingpublished at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2017

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the KCOM Stadium

A strong Manchester United line-up tonight but I get the feeling a player not involved - Anthony Martial - will be one of the major talking points.

Martial has not performed to expectations for Jose Mourinho this season and for the second consecutive game he is missing from the visitors' matchday squad.

Mourinho told Martial earlier this season, the Frenchman must listen to him not his agent.

    But what is he saying?

    • United have never lost a match at the KCOM Stadium, winning four and drawing one in five previous Premier League clashes there. Their last away defeat to Hull came in November 1974 at Boothferry Park in a Second Division match under the management of Tommy Docherty.

The fact most people have already written Hull off, the pressure is almost taken off Marco Silva. He is getting something out of his players and the players have reacted to him coming in at the club. That's pretty obvious due to their performances under him.

  15. 'Hull must be perfect'published at 19:23 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2017

Hull v Manchester United (Agg: 0-2, 19:45 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho on Sky Sports: "Yes we are favourites but yes the game is open. Hull City players have still their hopes and their dreams. We have to play to win the match. We cannot be defending a lead. I think the players are really motivated. We had a difficult run to get here. We have to be in control and reach the final. It's so important in a club, even one like ours with so many incredible finals and incredible days.

"It's time for Mata and Mkhitaryan to have their rest, for Lingard and Rashford to play, bring their speed and happiness. Valencia also needed a rest.

"Hull have to win but if they are too aggressive, too offensive, they give us chances to score goals. They will try for the perfect match because they need the perfect match to beat us."

Sometimes it helps being young, energetic and not having too much experience in the Premier League. Marco Silva has arrived with new ideas, he's fresh and he's going for it.

That's what he did against Bournemouth. He played two strikers, two attacking wingers and he went for it. Hull were losing 1-0 but it didn't faze him and he stayed positive.
