Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: "My view that is honestly I did not see that it was a penalty. I will have to watch it on the video. Francis told me that he ran into him. Myself, I should have shut up and I apologise for not having done that. It was nothing malicious. I should have kept my control, even if it was in a hectic time.

"What it was that we kept going, we are a relentless team. Burnley made it very uncomfortable for us.

"On telvision it loooked a penalty. Yeah, the only thing Koscielncy came out again before he kicked the ball, was it a fraction of a 1000th of a second offside? I don't know."

That was a good chance for Maguire - really good chance.

  3. CLOSE!published at 25 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Hull

Silken skills from Hull centre-back Harry Maguire there.

    Yes, you read that right.

Maguire loves to bomb forward and on one such foray he advanced into the Chelsea area, beat his man and then won a corner with a shot from a tight angle.

He then rose to win the header from the corner kick, but Thibaut Courtois made a routine save.

    Chelsea 0-0 Hull

Hull seem to have kept their focus after that long delay. They are still passing the ball around nicely and very nearly got in behind the Chelsea defence with a long ball forward, but David Luiz was alive to the danger.

It is just a case of making sure the player is OK.

This shouldn't affect the other players' performance. You have to keep doing the job you were doing.

Finally, Mason is slowly lowered on to the stretcher to warm applause, which increases in volume as Hull's record signing is taken from the field.

Meyler comes on in his place and play resumes after what I make to be a nine-minute delay.

Daniel Woodley: Thoughts with Ryan Mason here for Hull City. Nasty clash of heads and looks in a very bad way. Hope for a speedy recovery

Dennis Ethan: OMG I hope Ryan Mason is okay. Hate seeing such stuff on the field

A very groggy Ryan Mason is still to be put on to the stretcher. The medical team is taking every care here.

A very solemn Stamford Bridge crowd looks on.

    Chelsea 0-0 Hull

It looks like Hull's Ryan Mason is the player in most distress here. Cahill is up again and on the sidelines, ready to come back on.

Mason is still down and David Meyler is stripped and ready to come on, receiving some instructions from Marco Silva.

Eeesh - a nasty clash of heads there between Gary Cahill and Ryan Mason as they challenged in the Hull area.

You could hear the collision from here.

Players from both teams urgently wave on the medical staff.

Both are conscious but that was nasty.

    Encouraging signs for Hull.

Nice approach play between Tom Huddlestone and Abel Hernandez ends with Huddlestone taking aim with a low shot from distance which goes just wide.

Zred: Refs need help! The games are going too fast for them. Making too many wrong calls late in a game. Let's utilize technology!

BtheG: Watching Arsenal is like watching thriller movies. Bad for the heart though.

Aamir Mir: Poor officiating yet again. Koscielny was offside.

    Arsenal 2-1 Burnley

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "It's a tough day for us in the end. To lose a game in that fashion, with an offside not given is tough, particularly when you come to tough places like this.

"We never take anything for granted. We know how tough this division is but you need officials to make the right decisions and that is the shame today. They have to be brave have officials at places like this, I understand that, but you've got to think it has to be given [offside]."

  14. 'It was very difficult for us'published at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Arsenal 2-1 Burnley

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, speaking to BBC Sport: "We finally got the win but of course it was very difficult for us. We couldn't get the second goal, we played with 10 men and they played well as well. In the end we got the three points we wanted.

"Burnley are well organised, they make the game simple but efficient. We won there in the last second and we one again in the last second today.

"Every week and every game is an unbelievable fight for everybody."

On being sent off, frustration at the penalty decision or that two points were almost dropped? "A bit of both. I didn't see any penalty from outside but I should have shut up and I apologise, even if I was frustrated."

    Hull have started well.

They're nice and narrow, nice and tight. Whenever a Chelsea player comes wide they are tracking the runs.

    A good, neat, tidy start.

Hull have settled after that early scare and are content to keep the hosts in the midfield for now.

    Chelsea v Hull (16:30 GMT)

So just a swift reminder on the teams after our curtailed build up.

Chelsea make only one change from Saturday's 3-0 win at Leicester, with Costa back in the team, having missed that game with what was officially a back injury but reportedly because of a falling-out with a fitness coach - and interest from China. Willian makes way.

It's two changes for Hull from the team who beat Bournemouth 3-1 in Marco Silva's first Premier League game in charge. Right-back Omar Elabdellaoui makes his debut, and midfielder Evandro starts for the first time. Robert Snodgrass, who is injured, and Adama Diomande drop out.

And Chelsea nearly score straight from the kick off. A long ball punted down field is only half cleared and comes out to - who else? - Diego Costa, who flashes a shot just wide.

A (very) early scare for the Tigers.

    Hull City transformed Chelsea's season.

It was at the KC on 1 October where Antonio Conte started with a back three for the first time. It brought the first of 13 league victories in a row.

It's difficult to see Hull stopping what they helped to start.

Chelsea have won their last eight at home. The media storm over Diego Costa will quickly subside if he scores for a fourth game in a row against the Tigers.

Hull have lost their last eight league games away. Marco Silva has invigorated survival hopes but this is a huge task.

Hull to dismantle Chelsea's season? I doubt it.
