Dele Alli is such a good footballer. Yes, he made a bad tackle that's what makes him stand out. You can't ask him to take that fire out of his game because that gives him that little bit of an edge and makes him what he is.
When we have played against them, he is so hard to get near. For someone of his age he is such a clever footballer.

Deli Alli has got fire in him...it's part of him. When Wayne Rooney was running around and smashing people to bits on the pitch, he was angry. But he was a beast, a player you looked at and said 'I do not want to play against him'.
A lot of the greats had it in them - Eric Cantona diving over barriers, Zinedine Zidane headbutting people in World Cup finals.
I'm not justifying what Dele Alli did. It was a shocking tackle.

So, Dele Alli starts for Tottenham after THAT challenge on Thursday which earned him a red card as Spurs were knocked out of the Europa League. How will he react against Stoke?

Claudio Ranieri sacking
Oliver Holt
Mail on Sunday chief sports writer
This is going to sound strange but I think Ranieri had earned the right to take Leicester down. He certainly earned the right to keep them up.
By sacking him, the owners have taken the magic away.
When a manager leaves, sometimes a team have a bounce - I don't think this is going to happen at Leicester.

Leicester City are certainly now in trouble. You always feel the team who has dropped into the relegation battle towards the end of the season and haven't been fighting it all along are the most vulnerable.

If the players are going to take the credit for the Premier League win, and rightly so, then they should also take some of the criticism and you should have to look inwards.
I played in the days when players had no power, and while it wasn't right we had no power at all, it has gone completely in the other direction, and the players are really powerful including a lot of ordinary players.
I can't believe the fact I am even talking about this when Leicester City are still in the Champions League - the ultimate club competition.

This is a big stuff in Austria. Team news from White Hart Lane coming up.
Alan Shearer
Ex-England captain on Match of the Day
I didn't need the sacking of Claudio Ranieri to tell me the players weren't working for him. I could see it. I've been saying it for the last two or three months, that the players just weren't working for him.
I would say to the Leicester players, if you look in the mirror and ask yourself a question - have I worked as hard as I could and given the manager everything? I would pretty much say, for the vast majority of that Leicester squad, the answer would be no. They could do more, I'm certain of that.

Stoke City defender Phil Bardsley, speaking on BBC Radio 5 live's Friday Football Social : "We've been away in Dubai at a training camp for six days. We did some good work on the training pitch and we were working on how Tottenham will play and the systems they may adapt. Hopefully we'll take something from the game."

Quick. Match of the Day 2 Extra is starting on BBC Two. Former England, West Ham and Arsenal defender Matthew Upson and West Brom player Chris Brunt are in the studio debating all the latest football issues with Mail on Sunday chief sports writer Oliver Holt. The presenter is Will Perry.
Who should replace Ranieri?
Auay Jokesomefun: Only Ranieri can replace Ranieri but Louis Van Gaal isn't a bad option.
V: Nigel Pearson. And for next season Ranieri again.
Huffam: Brendan Rodgers must surely be getting a little bored up in Scotland by now?

Martin O'Neill

It is only two months ago I voted for Claudio Ranieri for Fifa Manager of the Year and, in my opinion, it was his right to see it through.
I know the pressure is on. I know how teams need to go and win matches. I know how hard it is financially to stay in the Premier League and Leicester City, while in trouble, were not the only team losing matches.
Yes, the owners have the ultimate say but we've heard rumours the players went to the owner to talk about whatever it was they wanted to talk about.
Why should players go to the owner? Even in this day and age, why should they go to the owners of the football club?
If things are not going well I think you try and sort it out in the dressing room.

Agubata Odinaka: Leicester should go abroad. I would say Roberto Mancini because he has Premier League experience and he's younger than Hiddink.
Dean Marius: Roberto Di Matteo - he could keep Leicester in the Championship.
Stephen K Wiliiams: It really should be a British manager but whoever they attract needs to be up for a fight.

After the disappointment of exiting Europe at Wembley, Spurs return to their real home for the first of four games in a row there.
Unbeaten at White Hart Lane all season, it could now be a comfort blanket to reheat a campaign that's cooled in the last month.
With 13 points to make up on Chelsea, the realistic target is to seal a Champions League place - something first achieved thanks to Peter Crouch - now at Stoke - seven years ago.
