If you were to buy any player in the Premier League at the moment, I think it would be N'Golo Kante.

Another Chelsea break causes mayhem, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa lead it but when the ball lands at the feet of Marcos Alonso, he's squeezed out. West Ham were at the mercy of Antonio Conte's side again.

Chelsea have not been great yet they could be three up. A little more ruthlessness and they should have no problems here.

Robert Snodgrass swings the free-kick in, Andy Carroll gets a head on it but it's wayward and cleared.

West Ham have been OK, nothing more. Some well-built attacks, no end product. There's something lacking. They can load the box one more time before the break though as Cesc Fabregas brings Aaron Cresswell down. Crossing chance. Booking too.

Manuel Lanzini has 43 touches, the most of anyone on the pitch. Gary Cahill has 42. He's seen most of the ball for Chelsea largely because West Ham are applying little pressure on the ball when Chelsea start attacks.

That was a big chance for the Hammers. In the final third was where we wanted to see Lanzini. He found himself on the edge of the area. It was a great opportunity but he blazed it over the bar.

That was unlike Lanzini. He normally tries to it bend it into a corner. 

And then it was another devastating Chelsea break. Hazard fires it across. Cresswell blocks Moses' shot and then Randolph saved Pedro's effort.

After his excellent block, Aaron Cresswell needs treatment. The magic spray is being applied behind the goal.

Chelsea should be two up. Antonio Conte has his head in his hands.

Eden Hazard - away down the left - plays a cross behind Diego Costa but Victor Moses hits and sees a shot well blocked by Aaron Cresswell. The ball breaks to Pedro, 18 yards out, he volleys and draws a diving save from Darren Randolph. A fine save.

West Ham fans are waiting for that big moment of beating one of the big teams in this new stadium. They thought coming here tonight they might do that.

Chelsea have now taken control of the game.

Suddenly the game has a very different feel. As Chelsea get the ball back deep in their own half again no pressure arrives. Now it doesn't matter though, the away side have no need to rush. Gary Cahill can spend an age on the ball before finding N'Golo Kante in midfield. He finds Victor Moses, to Pedro, back to Moses but his ball over the top is heavy. Premier League leaders in control.

Antonio Conte wants Cheikhou Kouyate booked. The makeshift right-back clatters Eden Hazard. Conte is asking the referee and making that infuriating yellow card hand gesture. Nothing doing other than a free-kick.
