    Manchester City 1-1 Liverpool

Sergio Aguero with a chance to win it, but he blazes over on the volley despite having time and space at the back post.

Another deliciously dinked ball from Kevin de Bruyne to pick out the forward in the box.

    Manchester City 1-1 Liverpool

Sadio Mane goes sliding in on David Silva and earns himself a yellow card.

The old 'forward's tackle' springs to mind. He looked more tired than anything, couldn't chase anymore.

  4. Postpublished at 86 mins

    Manchester City 1-1 Liverpool

    Another chance for Manchester City.

David Silva drifts to the byline to collect Kevin de Bruyne's pass and cuts it back to Sergio Aguero, but he can't direct an effort on target.

What a game this has been.

BtheG: The is the best Premier League game I have ever watched this season.

Paul Humphreys: City's defending is unbelievable. Otamendi is playing like a no.10! It's 1-1! Liverpool getting so many chances on the counter

CFCWarrior: Really bonkers game and so many missed chances. That Lallana miss is a real head scratcher.

Somewhere in all of that was a substitution.

Leroy Sane has put in a cracking shift and is replaced by Fernando.

  8. Postpublished at 83 mins

    This really is end-to-end.

Raheem Sterling beats Simon Mignolet at one end but it doesn't have the legs or the angle to find the net.

Roberto Firmino then breaks free at the other and chooses to shoot rather than look for Adam Lallana, but he fires wide.

    What a miss!

All Lallana had to do is side-foot it either side of Caballero and he made no contact.

He has to score. That is one of the worst misses of the season.

  10. CLOSE!published at 81 mins

    Manchester City 1-1 Liverpool

Now it's Liverpool who miss a golden opportunity.

Fantastic move from Liverpool as they almost toy with the City defence and Roberto Firmino tees one up on a plate for Adam Lallana, unmarked in the six yard box.

All he has to do is wolf it down, put something on it, but the England midfielder completely misses the ball and City survive.

City players are slipping all over the shop. Like Formula 1 cars caught out with the wrong tyres.

Leroy Sane looks to collect a David Silva pass to the left of the box but, just like Sergio Aguero moments earlier, falls over.

    It is brilliant from City.

Aguero is six yards out and he falls over!

    It was wonderful play.

  13. CLOSE!published at 76 mins

    Manchester City 1-1 Liverpool

    Wow.

Manchester City so close to taking the lead.

Sergio Aguero plays a clever one-two with Leroy Sane, but the Argentine slips as he goes to set himself when you'd have put your house on him scoring.

It falls to Kevin de Bruyne instead, and he clatters one against the post from five yards out.

Liverpool certainly haven't set out to shut up shop after being pegged back.

They go forward through Adam Lallana and he shifts the ball left to Roberto Firmino, who jinks onto his right and drives a low effort against the outside of the near post.

Brilliant ball from De Bruyne. Low and hard with pace.

Aguero got on the wrong side of Klavan.

The quality of the ball was absolutely excellent.

    What a game!

What a ball from Kevin de Bruyne from the right-hand side.

He picks out Sergio Aguero , who missed a chance from a header moments earlier, and the Argentine flies onto the pass to smash first-time past Simon Mignolet.
