Joe Hart always interviews really well, before or after a game, win or lose. He is always candid.

He must have watched Manchester City this season, like the rest of us and thought, 'they have missed Joe Hart this season'.

I am sure Pep Guardiola will be looking to strengthen the goalkeeping position in the summer and if he can't, I won't be surprised if he turns to Hart.

R: Got 0-0 written all over it....

Geoff Naylor: All that attacking potential... almost certain to be a boring game and goalless draw therefore.

Less of this talk please. I am in no mood to eat a hat.

Ronaldo or Messi? The 'who is better' argument is so old that ancient Greek philosophers probably had a good old natter about it back in the day.

However, at 32 and 29 respectively, Ronaldo and Messi are not going to be around forever, and Atletico forward Kevin Gameiro reckons their duopoly will soon be ended by his team-mate - Antoine Griezmann.

For the fourth season in a row, Griezmann has passed the 20-goal mark and, at 25, he is arguably in his prime.

"If he continues in the vein he has been, he could well win the Ballon d'Or," says Gameiro.

Ronaldo and Messi have been the only winners of the Ballon d'Or since 2008. Anyone remember who the last player other than those two to win the award was?

Josh Slater: 5-3 to Monaco in the 90 mins and then Aguero gets 2 goals in extra time- you never know what could happen in this game.

I didn't think this way until I was on the flight yesterday and saw Pep Guardiola's record in the Champions League - 15 defeats in 99 games, that is unbelievable. He is the reason they can win.

I think with Pep, if you have him as manager you have the chance to win it more than any other team.

Tonight marks Pep Guardiola's 100th game in Europe as a manager and he will snatch a record currently held by Louis van Gaal, regardless of the result.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss will become the most successful manager in European club football after a century of matches.

Guardiola has won 61 of the 99 games he has overseen, drawing 23 and losing just 15. Former Manchester United boss Van Gaal won 61 of his first 100 games in Europe, drawing 22 and losing 17.

If these two teams' attacking play is as impressive as their pre-match attire tonight then we are in for a treat.

The Manchester City players' travelling gear shades it for me. Big fan of the 1960s Bond villain thing they've got going on.

Fernando Torres is on the bench for Atletico Madrid and so could return to action for the first time since leaving hospital after having lost consciousness after a heavy challenge in a game with Deportivo La Coruna on 2 March.

Forward Kevin Gameiro is missing through injury and captain Gabi and left-back Filipe Luis are suspended. Angel Correa starts up front, Thomas Partey is in midfield and Lucas Hernandez comes in at full-back. Diego Godin is in the centre of defence in place of Stefan Savic, who started the first leg. Subs: Miguel Moya, Torres, Savic, Cerci, Juanfran, Gaitan, Moreno.

Midfielder Charles Aranguiz and defenders Benjamin Henrichs and Omer Toprak are replaced by Julian Baumgartlinger, Roberto Hilbert and Tin Jedvaj. 17-year-old midfielder Kai Havertz is missing as he has "important exams" so Kevin Volland starts.

Two goals without reply will be enough for Monaco, but the French side's boss Leonardo Jardim does not believe that will be enough as he expects Manchester City to score.

"I think both teams will attack," he says. "We'll try to score because we need two more goals to qualify. Manchester City's individual quality is a real danger; they can score at any time. To qualify I think we need to score at least three goals.

"There'll be a lot of space and attacking intent – and perhaps a lot of goals."

We are in for a treat.

Both coaches have talked about scoring goals, they don't know how to defend.

Attacking wise, Monaco have scored 123 goals this season and we know Pep Guardiola likes to attack.

Of significance for Atletico tonight is the return of Fernando Torres.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker is on the bench just two weeks after he was knocked unconscious in a challenge with Deportivo la Coruna’s Alex Bergantinos.

Torres was released from hospital only 24 hours after he was admitted having suffered no serious injuries and returned to full training earlier this week.

Last season's Champions League finalists, Atletico Madrid, are also in action tonight as they look to finish the job against Bayer Leverkusen.

Diego Simeone's side won the first tie in Germany 4-2 and should have little trouble against a side that got thumped 6-2 in their last away game - at Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

Atletico have never exited the Champions League at the last 16 stage under Simeone.

Everything points towards this game having goals. Both managers say they are going for goals and we want this to be like the first leg. That was one of the best Champions League games I have seen.

After the first leg my first thought was that City will have to play even better than in the first leg to go through but I feel City are on a roll at the moment. I like the words Pep is using about being attacking and being courageous, that is what they will have to be like tonight.

We all saw what happened to Paris St-Germain when they tried to protect their 4-0 lead over Barcelona in the Champions League.

Manchester City don't have the best defence around and Pep Guardiola knows trying to hold out a Monaco side that has scored 123 goals in all competitions this season would be foolish.

"The best way to defend is score goals," he said. "When one team scores many goals and you think about just defending, you kill yourself. The idea is to try and attack. What you have to do is go to score goals."
