    I don't think Oblak will want to see that again but Martin was in the right place at the right time. It is a deserved goal.

    Get in! Stuart Armstrong threads a lovely pass through a forest of legs to Chris Martin in the penalty area and the big striker takes a nice touch before getting off an early shot.

    It takes a wee deflection and Jan Oblak is left flat-footed as the ball sneaks in at the far post.

    Another chance gone - this time Anya. How many more will Scotland get? They have just over 10 minutes to salvage any qualification hopes.

    Any hope of a late Malta goal looks to have vanished, with Malta's goalscorer Jean Farrugia given a second yellow card for handball.

    A chance for Ikechi Anya straight away as James Morrison knocks Steven Naismith's lofted pass into the substitute's feet. He has time to steady himself but his shot from 16 yards is easily gathered by Jan Oblak.

    Gordon Strachan must now be thinking of a change. If you're going to go out, you may as well go out in a blaze of glory. If you're going to make a positive change, then put Ikechi Anya on for Kieran Tierney. But James Forrest hasn't been at his best.
