Leigh Griffiths hits the frame of the goal again!

Stuart Armstrong cuts a great ball in from the right and this time the Celtic striker slams a raking right-foot shot against the base of the post.

Incredible.

Leigh Griffiths has to score. He just has to score... Andy Robertson breaks forward at a real gallop and releases Robert Snodgrass, who stands up a brilliant cross for Griffiths to finish off from five yards or so.

Somehow, the striker slams a volley against the bar.

Bostjan Cesar, already booked, barges Leigh Girffiths to the grass on the halfway line to concede a foul. The Slovenia captain looks like an angry man.

James Morrison has been pretty quiet so far but he has the Hampden crowd on their feet as the ball drops to him on the edge of the box and his fierce, rising shot ripples the side-netting on its way wide.

Roman Bezjak is able to nod the ball into the path of Josip Ilicic after Kieran Tierney fails to head clear a long free-kick. However, the Fiorentina man blazes his volley wide from 18 yards.

Another booking for the visitors, with Bostjan Cesar cautioned for some ludicrously early time-wasting. The captain then angrily swats the ball away with his hand and gets a stern talking to from referee Bjorn Kuipers.

Defender Russell Martin has already threatened twice in the Slovenia box. First he drew a fine stop from keeper Jan Oblak with a volley and he then had a headed goal ruled out for pushing.

Corner number four for Scotland. It's worked short to James Forrest and he takes a touch too many before sending a cross sailing over everyone and out of play.

The visitors spring the home offside trap and lone Roman Bezjak is haring in on goal from a tight angle. Craig Gordon stands firm at his near post and keeps out a powerful shot.

James Forrest scampers down the right and delivers a fabulous first-time cross for Leigh Griffiths to attack. The Celtic striker is in space just eight yards out but the ball is slightly behind him and he can't adjust quickly enough to get his header on target.

Russell Martin is short with an awkward, scooped back-pass but Scotland keeper Craig Gordon is out of his area quickly to nod the ball away safely.

Another corner, another delivery from Robert Snodgrass finds Russell Martin at the back post and this time he nods it home.

However, the Norwich defender was doing a bit of pushing and Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers won't stand for it.

First booking of the match goes to Slovenia left-back Bojan Jokic for a clip on James Forrest. Again, goalie Jan Oblak looks a bit uncertain, tipping over a looping ball after the free-kick is touched on by an outstretched leg.

Now Slovenia break at pace, with Valter Birsa bursting into the penalty area only to be dispossessed by a great sliding tackle from Andy Robertson.
