There is no doubt the visitors have started the second half better than they did the first. I don't think they could be as bad as they were in the first half, we're seeing a lot more of the quality they have.

Another booking for Slovenia as striker Roman Bezjak flies into a reckless hack on the heels of Kieran Tierney.

"Scotland so far failing to recreate the momentum they built up in the first half. The visitors look more comfortable on the ball but as yet, they've created little."

Gordon Strachan's side have yet to find any kind of rhythm or tempo since the restart. Slovenia are seeing more of the ball without really getting anywhere.

  7. Postpublished at 48 mins

Steven Naismith jogs on for his 45th cap. He's not been starting at Norwich of late but he did net for Scotland in Wednesday's friendly against Canada.

Leigh Griffiths is down again. It looks like game over for the striker.

    It's Steven Naismith coming on...

    We're up and running again.

Leigh Griffiths looks like he might be struggling after that knock in the back he got at the end of the first half. He's wincing as he drops to his knees after his first sprint.

Thought that this was a superbly industrious and skilful performance from us. They look rotten because we're playing great.

WHAT A MISS. Scotland's best finisher? I don't think so, why has Griffiths not scored in 12 games for us!? Rhodes deserves a good run in the team...

It is typical Scotland isn't it? We have been so near, yet so far. But if we keep going, we will get our rewards.

Stuart Armstrong is looking very assured on his international debut. The Celtic midfielder has been at the heart of much of Scotland's best work and this has been Scotland's best performance in a long, long time.

Andy Robertson is also looking very dangerous with his runs from left-back.

I don't think Slovenia look as good as we anticipated. Defensively they've looked pretty shocking. Scotland's performance has been very good. It has been a fabulous first 45 minutes from them. But there are still big questions in the second half. Can they keep it tight? Can they take one of the opportunities they are creating against this back four, which haven't coped particularly well?

    Chris McLaughlin

"Extremely encouraging first half for a Scotland but given recent history, there won't be one fan inside Hampden who doesn't fear it was simply chapter one of another hard luck story. They passed up chance after chance but the movement and desire was without question. There's been a fluidity in midfield and an assurance at the back that hasn't  been evident for much of this campaign. Gordon Strachan will simply want more of the same in the second half in the hope the breakthrough will come."

  16. HALF-TIME Scotland 0-0 Sloveniapublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 26 March 2017

It's a must-win game and Scotland are not in front. Quite how they aren't is a mystery since the home side have been very lively and Leigh Griffiths has smacked two shots against the woodwork.

How did he miss it? Incredible from Leigh Griffiths who batters the crossbar just yards from goal. The striker is then unlucky to see his next effort thuimp the post. Is it going to be one of those nights?
