Arsenal would take this result now. They've showed good character to come back from a goal down twice -just a shame the second hasn't quite lived up to the first half.

Willy Caballero does his bit to make it interesting, passing the ball straight of play for an Arsenal throw 10 yards from the byline. It remains end to end, midfielders absent, Alex Iwobi! Over the bar. Could he have squared to Olivier Giroud?

City come again, but David Silva's mop of black hair scuffs a shot that is dragged wide of the post. Five to go.

Arsenal have found another spark, helped by the fast feet of Alex Iwobi. A surge down the right is snuffed out as the crowd sing. More space opens up. Time for the crescendo? 

Kevin de Bruyne, you should be up in court for crimes against football. Do not wave the imaginary card. Ever. Francis Coquelin barged into the Belgian, having already seen yellow. This, though, didn't merit another booking.

Almost a clanger. A long ball from the Arsenal backline, Nicolas Otamendi's miscue, Mesut Ozil can't get on the end of it. A winner from a howler would probably be a fitting end to this game.

They are just hanging on Arsenal. 

I'm looking at Olivier Giroud and thinking that was such a wasted substitution because he has barely seen the ball... 

Arsenal are camped in their own half. City have a lot of the ball, but aren't doing a great deal with it. Willy Caballero has the Sunday papers out. The sun pokes through once more, almost as bright as the visitors' socks.

Final Arsenal change. Alex Iwobi on, Danny Welbeck off. I'll be honest, it seems like the chances of either side getting a winner have diminished in the past 10 minutes or so. 

Singing from the stands as Alex Iwobi readies himself to come on. Sergio Aguero was just limping too. City remain the more likely, more composed and with more time on the ball.

Bit of the fizz gone out of this one. The crowd making their own amusement. Can anyone from Arsenal or Manchester City conjure up the moment that makes the difference?

If you stripped away the colours and the noise, you'd be hard-pressed to identify Arsenal as the home team. Playing on the counter, they struggle to get as many men forward as City. City are patient, looking to pick the lock. The red shirts huddle together and find a way to hold on.

Interesting substitution from Wenger there. 

Maybe they are settling for 2-2 having been behind twice in this game?

It does look more likely City are capable of winning this. Arsenal are going to have to do it on the counter-attack.  

Once more, the game has settled. City are benefiting from the presence of Yaya Toure, while Arsenal's shaky defence is just about finding a way to repel the visiting waves of attack. Keep an eye on that Leroy Sane-Hector Bellerin duel. It's like watching Usain Bolt race himself.

Olivier Giroud on, Theo Walcott off. Not sure about that one, Walcott has had a decent game. Giroud goes up top, Danny Welbeck moves to the right.

Olivier Giroud is readying himself to come on. The way this game has been going, he'll probably play at left-back. Once more it's Leroy Sane running at the Arsenal defence, but his shot is dragged wide.

Leroy Sane has been a magic man on the City left today. He's given Hector Bellerin a torrid time. He wins a corner that isn't cleared and when the ball comes in again, Sergio Aguero has yet another free header. David Ospina makes the leaping save. Is there any chance of Arsenal keeping an eye on Aguero?
