John: There's no doubt about it. Watford are one of the favourites for relegation next season already.

Ian: From a purely football perspective, there's no doubt Terry has been a fantastic servant and great player for his club and their fans. For most neutrals however, the 'other' parts of his personality, make it very hard to have any respect for the guy. Shame.

Jake Pincombe: Azpilicueta should've been in the POTY conversation. I can only imagine he wasn't because no-one could spell his name

Chelsea's B team are a far better side than Watford. It's 2-1 but it could be a lot more than that. Willian and Eden Hazard have been brilliant. It's not the most exciting game in the world but it's a deserved lead.

Cesar Azpilicueta is a firm favourite at the Bridge and it is easy to see why if we crunch some numbers.

    • 3240: He has played more league minutes than any other Blues player
    • 16: No Blues player has helped contribute to more clean sheets
    • 79: Only N'Golo Kante has made more tackles
    • 69: Only Kante (again) has made more interceptions
    • 117: Only Gary Cahill and David Luiz have made more clearances
    • 1: League goals this season...

    Three additional minutes.

Watford need a goal. They have never come from behind at half-time to win a Premier League game, drawing seven and losing 48.

Some of these back-up players being given a chance today, does it give Antonio Conte food for thought for next season? Kenedy at left-wing-back, Kurt Zouma, Nathaniel Chalobah in midfield, Michy Batshuayi up front.

Next season when they have a Champions League fixture in midweek, Conte might trust these players to get some points on the board in the league.

You'd expect Antonio Conte to be sitting back in his seat with his feet up. Not a bit of it. The Italian is standing kicking every single ball while getting in the ear of the fourth official.

Ben Thapa: Watford must be so relieved that this season isn't a month longer, or they'd be in real trouble. Total freefall.

Briyan: David Luiz has gone from being an accident waiting to happen to a Blue warrior. What a maturity!

Tom Sheridan: Why wouldn't you make changes, tell them show me why you should be at the cup final? Fairly good motivation

If John Terry was a popular scorer, Cesar Azpilicueta is just as popular a scorer.

He is getting his chance to play out wide today. He created the goal that won Chelsea the league too.

We're just waiting for John Terry to create amother goal again now.

Beautiful finish. He had time after his first touch. It was accurate, skids off the turf into the bottom left-hand corner.

    Cesar Azpilicueta

A timely first goal of the season.

John Terry is smiling again as fellow defender Cesar Azpilicueta rifles a laser-guided low strike from 20 yards home.

It's a fine finish following a corner but Watford's defending was poor.

    Chelsea 1-1 Watford

John Terry has hardly been involved in the game - apart from the two key moments, of course.

The Chelsea skipper has managed just 10 touches in the opening half hour, fewer than any other outfield player.

But two of them have been very, very important...

Watford manager Walter Mazzarri is fired up about something - he has just made quite an aggressive grab for one of his coaches, manhandling him. The Italian is clearly here to spoil Chelsea's party.

Benhard Naweseb: Give both goals to John Terry.

Henry Oputa: John Terry just did his version of a Steven Gerrard slip

Chelsea Warrior: It happens. Lot of today's players not match sharp. Watch JT restore our lead.

Here's that Watford goal in graphical form. It was a mess.

There was little danger as Watford's patient build-up ended with Daryl Janmaat (number 22) swinging in a hopeful cross from the left touchline.

Then John Terry (26) intervened...leaving Etienne Capoue (29) with the simplest of headers.

  17. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 28 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 Watford

A roar goes up as Eden Hazard tumbles inside the area after Heurelho Gomes comes charging off his line. No penalty. Replays show the referee was correct, it's a great challenge by Gomes.

Chelsea have moved up a gear. Eden Hazard fires just wide after Willian pings a terrific ball forward. Meanwhile Nathan Ake is the third player to be booked - and Chelsea's first - after clattering into Valon Behrami.

    Phil McNulty

John Terry was smiling broadly and taking the acclaim of the crowd after putting Chelsea ahead - then it was agony as that wretched header let Etienne Capoue in for Watford's equaliser.

    Football. What a game.

    Etienne Capoue

    This wasn't in the script.

Chelsea fans are still celebrating when John Terry and Nathaniel Chalobah get in a mix-up on the edge of their area - Terry's terrible defensive header letting in Etienne Capoue for an instant Watford equaliser.

    It's all gone quiet.
