The name of Jose Mourinho is still being sung loud and proud inside the Friends Arena. Here's a question though - are they any closer to a title challenge?

Marouane Fellaini was absolutely immense tonight. He took the fight to this Ajax team. He has had some criticism but has had to have courage to make his Manchester United career what it is.

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata speaking to BT Sport: "We have won a trophy the club has never won so we are really happy. It means a lot as it is my first European trophy with United and after what happened yesterday it is nice to bring a trophy back for Manchester.

The Premier League will have five teams in the Champions League next season then.

It's been a long hard, difficult season and under really difficult circumstances, they have produced a performance.

He's bouncing up and down, showing four fingers for four European trophies, as Wayne Rooney lifts the trophy high!

United are winners - and they are in the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho is up first and has the medal around his neck before landing a kiss on the trophy. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, along with the other injured players are up next.

They are all taking selfies with the trophy now. That will anger a lot of people I'm sure...

Ajax come off the stage and form a guard of honour for the winners. Wayne Rooney looks to have the trophy lifting job under wraps.

Ajax players and staff step forwards to take their silverware. A great effort to get to the final but they never really featured tonight. There will be some regrets from this young group I'm sure.

The temporary stage has been constructed on the Stockholm pitch, the huge trophy has been engraved and is placed on the podium.

It looks like Ajax will be up first for their losers' medals.

It's a fantastic moment. Jose Mourinho has waited nine months for this moment. What a season he has produced here - two trophies and Champions League football.

The Ajax team are in a sombre huddle - their time may come again if Peter Bosz can keep the core of this group together. That's a big 'if' I'd guess though.

Adesanya Gabriel: Say what you will about Jose Mourinho, he is a winner. No one manages a final quite like him. It was always under control.

Oliver Cook: Odd season for United. Won 3 out 5 available trophies and qualified for Champions League, yet haven't been impressive.

We are seeing a really different side to Jose Mourinho here. He still loves winning after all. He goes to the fans and pumps his fists out, before hugging a shirtless Paul Pogba.

Pogba is delighted. He didn't sign up to play in the Europa League and now, next season, he won't after.
