Manchester United look like they have more of the big game knowledge and experience.

Jairo Riedewald is replaced by Frenkie de Jong as we enter the final 10 minutes. We are entering miracletown for the Dutch side now.

I didn't catch it at the time but the reason that Ajax were so unhappy with Ander Herrera just after that Juan Mata foul was because he threw himself to the deck, insinuating a headbutt I think.

All a bit unnecessary.

It was a nasty tackle from Juan Mata - some referees would have given a red. He was high and over the ball. That could have been a red for Mata. He's lucky only to get a yellow.

Ajax keep coming forwards but they have nothing to hurt Manchester United with. Plenty of precise one-twos and flicks are being attempted but nothing is sticking.

United are less than 15 minutes away from a trophy and a place in the Champions League.

Nasty! That's a nasty challenge from Juan Mata, very late indeed and he goes into the book. But not after a bit of a scuffle, which saw sub Wayne Rooney step onto the pitch to have a few choice words. Should he be doing that?

Davinson Sanchez was the wrong side of Paul Pogba, who was driving into the box. Pogba went down easily but there was contact. I think it was a penalty.

Manchester United have got Ajax exactly where they want them here, with Peter Bosz's side having to chase from two goals down.

And United's injured defender Marco Rojo was leaping up and punching the air from his seat behind the technical area as they successfully defended an Ajax free-kick.

Davinson Sanchez was the wrong side of Paul Pogba and it was a clumsy challenge at best. A knee in the thigh of Pogba, who didn't go down actually, and the chance was gone.

Paul Pogba charges forwards, Jesse Lingard plays him in and he's challenged inside the area...no foul!

The defender got his body between Pogba and the ball but there's nothing doing.

Manchester United make their first change as Jesse Lingard replaces Henrikh Mkhitaryan. More pace on the break as the goalscorer comes off. Really was a fine improvised finish for that key second goal.

A three-minute pantomime before the free-kick as referee Damir Skomina tries to get everyone 10 yards behind the ball, we wait and wait and then Hakim Ziyech duffs his shot into the wall.

Poor.

They cannot keep dropping back like this.
