Before heading off to the Netherlands and tonight's assignment, Scotland striker Jane Ross took time out to deliver a training session for girls from Port Glasgow.

It's part of a scheme where players from the national team act as ambassadors for each of the six Scottish Football Association regions, helping to get more girls aged 5-12 interested in football and staying engaged in the sport for longer.

Glasgow City's Leanne Crichton wins a free-kick for Scotland mid-way in to the England half.

But England defend the delivery well and break down the other end through Jodie Taylor, who shoots from way, way out... But it's well wide.

Midfielder Jordan Nobbs - who can score spectacular goals - has a go from a long way out, but her swerving strike is well held by Scotland's keeper and captain, Gemma Fay.

Scottish fans are trying to rouse their team as they belt out 'Flower of Scotland' but England's blood is oozing with confidence now.

That's a seventh goal in nine games for Ellen White, who is in belting form and has justified her starting berth so far.

This is not how Scotland wanted their first ever match at a major women's tournament to start.

They'e finding out precisely why England are so widely expecting to be strong contenders to win this competition. Mark Sampson's side are, after all, fifth in Fifa's Women's World Rankings.
