Before heading off to the Netherlands and tonight's assignment, Scotland striker Jane Ross took time out to deliver a training session for girls from Port Glasgow.

It's part of a scheme where players from the national team act as ambassadors for each of the six Scottish Football Association regions, helping to get more girls aged 5-12 interested in football and staying engaged in the sport for longer.

Check out Jane's session below and you can find out more about the scheme, here., external

    HT: England 3-0 Scotland

    Chris McLaughlin
    BBC Sport Scotland in Utrecht

England have been fitter, faster and stronger and they thoroughly deserve their half-time lead. They also have a clear plan of not allowing Scotland any time in possession. Apart from a very early Jane Ross effort, Anna Signeul's side have failed to threaten.

We're in to the final minute of normal time in the first half and Scotland will just want to get in the dressing group, gather their thoughts and regroup.

Rachel: Don't know what's worse for Scotland, being 3-0 down or knowing Lionesses have Karen Carney and Toni Duggan on bench still!

David Randall: Eng 8-0 Sco. Scotland's heaviest defeat occurring in 1973. Could that record be broken tonight?

  7. Postpublished at 43 mins

    England 3-0 Scotland

Glasgow City's Leanne Crichton wins a free-kick for Scotland mid-way in to the England half.

But England defend the delivery well and break down the other end through Jodie Taylor, who shoots from way, way out... But it's well wide.

    England 3-0 Scotland

Midfielder Jordan Nobbs - who can score spectacular goals - has a go from a long way out, but her swerving strike is well held by Scotland's keeper and captain, Gemma Fay.

England are just keeping the ball in their own half for the moment, working it around patiently.

    England 3-0 Scotland

This is not how Scotland wanted their first ever match at a major women's tournament to start.

They'e finding out precisely why England are so widely expecting to be strong contenders to win this competition. Mark Sampson's side are, after all, fifth in Fifa's Women's World Rankings.

    England 3-0 Scotland

    Chris McLaughlin
    BBC Sport Scotland in Utrecht

Scotland's defence was far too slow to react to the Jill Scott shot off the bar and Ellen White pretty much puts the game to bed as a contest.

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Scotland goalkeeper Gemma Fay made a good save from Jill Scott's strike, but she needs help from her centre-backs to react quicker.

    Ellen White

Have England wrapped this up already?

Midfielder Jill Scott strikes at goal from range and her looping effort is tipped onto the bar. It bounces out to the on-rushing Ellen White, who finishes it off superbly.

The Birmingham City striker is lethal from that range.

    England 2-0 Scotland

    Rachel Brown-Finnis

A scrappy goal but England will take it. It is the instinct of Jodie Taylor to smash the ball home. Scotland were very deep for the free-kick but England look very sharp.

England have another! It's Jodie Taylor again!

From Jordan Nobbs' free-kick from the left, the ball is bouncing around the penalty area as Scotland fail to clear, and after a Lucy Bronze header is blocked, it falls to Taylor who tucks the loose ball into the net from six yards out.
