Tonight the hosts have been the better team. Seven minutes to go plus stoppage time.

The hosts look for Arsenal's Vivianne Miedema again, but the through ball races too far and the keeper gathers it.

The hosts call for a penalty as Vivianne Miedema goes down in the area under the challenge of Maria Thorisdottir but the referee says no. It would have been soft.

Netherlands have only beaten Norway once in 14 competitive outings, and look like they might hold on here. Vivianne Miedema has played great, but I've lost count of the number of chances she has missed today.

Now Reading's Netherlands captain Mandy van den Berg goes off, as Stephanie van der Gragt comes on to give the hosts fresh legs at the back.

Now the hosts make their first change and off goes Liverpool's Shanice van de Sanden.

Her goal may well have won this match for them. She throws her arms in the air to encourage the home fans as she goes off.

Youngster Lineth Beerensteyn comes on to replace her on the right wing.

Then striker Vivianne Miedema drags a low shot just wide. The Dutch could be home and dry by now.

Goal scorer Shanice van de Sanden gets in behind the Norway defence once again and aims a square ball at the on-rushing Vivianne Miedema but she overhits it. Chance gone.

Now Norway make their third and final change, with Ingrid Schelderup going off and Guro Reiten coming on. That's an attacking change for Norway.

Arsenal's Vivianne Miedema almost makes it 2-0 with a fierce shot from outside the area but it's a good stop from Ingrid Hjelmseth, parrying it wide for a corner.

And Norway scramble the near-post corner clear.

Less than 20 minutes remain and 2013 finalists Norway will be desperate not to start their campaign with a defeat.

And we have lift-off! The best two players on the Dutch team combine, and the Stadion Galgenwaard erupts. "Hol-land, Hol-land, Hol-land," chimes from all four stands.

You cannot say they don't deserve it.

Moments before conceding, Norway made their second change of the game, bringing on Emilie Haavi for forward Kristine Minde.

They've responded positively to going behind, forcing a quick corner, but it's the Dutch who deservedly lead.

Now Caroline Graham Hansen curls at goal from the right, but it's wide and it'll be a Netherlands goal kick.

It was a great ball in from Lieke Martens and the header into the bottom corner was well directed. It is nothing more than the Netherlands deserve.

I do feel the goal is coming for Netherlands.

Norway are dropping off, are struggling and Netherlands are so up for this game with the crowd and are pushing forward. They are really taking the game to Norway.

Almost, for the Dutch, once again... Almost!

Winger Lieke Martens hits one narrowly wide of the post. The keeper looked beaten that time.

Fresh from his Wimbledon outing, Louis Van Gaal is in the stands watching the Dutch team try and break the deadlock here in Utrecht.
