  4. CLOSE!published at 51 mins

    Netherlands 0-0 Norway

Norway should be ahead! Lyon star Ada Hegerberg races down the right and plays the ball low across the face of goal for Kristine Minde, but it's just half a yard in front of her. She can't reach it.

Netapiwa: Caroline Graham Hansen is a class act.

The 22-year-old Wolfsburg striker has been a nuisance for the Netherlands defence, that's for sure Netapiwa. Her pace is a real threat to any side.

  11. 'The best experience of my life'published at 18:00 British Summer Time 16 July 2017

    HT: Netherlands 0-0 Norway

    BBC World Service

The hosts seem to be coping with the expectation that falls on the home nation relatively well so far, but they'll need to be wary of Norway in the second half.

Speaking before the game, Reading defender Mandy van den Berg - captain of the Netherlands team - told the BBC World Service:

"We don’t really see it as pressure – it's an opportunity to show people what we are capable of.

"Hopefully we are at the point now when we are one of these teams who can really do something further in the tournament. It’s going to be magical.

"To walk out on that stage and represent your country in front of a full, orange stadium, will probably be the best experience of my life."

A really confident first half from the Netherlands, they look the most dangerous and have worked together. They were on top and knew their game plan.

Norway have not been able to get on the ball, but they do look dangerous in the attacking third.

  14. Game needs a goalpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 16 July 2017

    HT: Netherlands 0-0 Norway

A good start to the tournament from two teams who are not among the hot favourites, but could both challenge. Despite some fervent support, the only thing missing has been a goal, and with the likes of Ada Hegerberg up front for Norway, you wonder if the hosts might rue some of those missed chances.

The Dutch side need to keep feeding Lieke Martens and Shanice van den Sanden. Still, the home crowd are enjoying themselves so far.

  15. Postpublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 16 July 2017

    HT: Netherlands 0-0 Norway

The hosts had 56% of possession in that half, and seven attempts on goal to Norway's six.

They went closest to scoring, inside the first minute, but Arsenal's Danielle van de Donk was denied from close range.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45+1 mins

    Netherlands 0-0 Norway

That is indeed the last act of the first half of Women's Euro 2017.

  17. CLOSE!published at 45+1 mins

    Netherlands 0-0 Norway

Into stoppage time, the Norwegians head wide from a corner, but the hosts survive and will reach the break level, after a cracking half.

  18. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Netherlands 0-0 Norway

Netherlands midfielder Sherida Spitse - who, as a free-kick specialist - knows how to strike from range, hits a low shot at goal from outside the area but keeper Ingrid Hjelmseth gathers it.

Down the other end, Norway win a corner through the lively Caroline Graham Hansen.

  19. Applause for Nooijpublished at 42 mins

    Netherlands 0-0 Norway

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport in Utrecht

The crowd, which is a healthy mix of men, women and kids, burst into applause earlier in the 32nd minute for 32-year-old Netherlands international Sylvia Nooij, who died of a seizure earlier this month.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 40 mins

    Netherlands 0-0 Norway

Chelsea's Maren Mjelde curls it neatly over the Dutch wall but Arsenal keeper Sari van Veenendaal does well to parry it past the post.

From the corner, from the second phase, Ada Hegerberg blasts wide. Two good chances for Norway in the space of a minute.
