  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 58 mins

    Scotland 1-0 Spain

Solid again from Gemma Fay to narrow the angle as she rushes off her line to better effect this time, deflecting a shot away for a corner.

Marta Torrejon nods wide as the delivery comes in.

Just before, Leila Ouahabi came off, Marta Corredera on for Spain. That's a striker on for a defender.

  2. CLOSE!published at 56 mins

    Portugal 1-2 England

England go close to a third but Millie Bright can't quite connect with a left-wing cross at the far post.

Then, from a corner, Nikita Parris has a low shot blocked.

  3. Postpublished at 56 mins

And here's another sign! Silvia Meseguer drills the ball out of play with a horrendously misplaced pass.

Spain are seriously off their stride. Can Scotland profit?

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 55 mins

    Scotland 1-0 Spain

They are growing, Anna Signeul's Scotland side. Gone is the Spanish swagger that so characterised that opening period.

Erin Cuthbert turns the tables on Leila Ouahabi as she robs the left-back of possession in her own half. Cuthbert is hauled down and Ouahabi goes in the book. Signs the times are changing.

  5. As it standspublished at 54 mins

Portugal 1-2 England; Scotland 1-0 Spain

As things stands, Spain are going through with England. Why, you ask?

Well, Spain would be second - despite losing - by virtue of their better goal difference when taking into account only the games involving Portugal, Spain and Scotland, as they'd all be level on three points.

Spain beat Portugal 2-0 earlier in the tournament - that margin of victory is tipping the balance for now. But one more Scotland goal changes all that.

The Tartan Army have something to cheer at the moment, that miss aside, and the chant of "no Scotland no party" pipes up once again.

Striker Lana Clelland has come on this half to replace Leanne Ross, which could benefit Scotland's attacking force if they can get the ball to the feet of the Tavagnacco player.

They are pushing hard for number two now... and need England to keep up the good work.

Let's hope for Leanne Crichton's sake there will be others...

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

You are not going to get a better chance in this game to get a second goal. Any kind of bad connection would have put it in the goal, but she caught it so well and lent back and volleyed it over.

  9. HUGE MISS!published at 51 mins

    Scotland 1-0 Spain

Scotland buck the trend and force a corner of their own. It's drifted in, Leanne Crichton is in acres of space, about six yards out...

And she blazes over the bar, when it was easier to score. She holds her head in disbelief. And is not alone in doing so.

    Portugal 1-2 England

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 live

England were ready to get out of the blocks straight away in the second half. Nikita Parris affirms that with a goal. They were right at it.

    Scotland 1-0 Spain

So that goal means Scotland are ONE goal away from reaching the knockout stage...

    Dare we dream?

Spain, full of beans, straight out of the blocks. Desperate lunging challenges from the Scotland backline keeping the red shirts at bay, fending off two corners in succession.

GOAL - Portugal 1-2 Englandpublished at 48 mins

    Nikita Parris

Well taken! England are back in front. Manchester City's Nikita Parris meets a long ball over the top, gets away from two challenges and pokes the ball past the keeper.

It's a really good finish. England have responded perfectly since the break.

What a performance - only Duggan, Greenwood and Bright deserve any credit. And as for Parris - polite words desert me!

    Clive

Well, Clive, it's certainly still all to play for.

  14. 'The job is half done'published at 20:47 British Summer Time 27 July 2017

    Scotland 1-0 Spain

    Steven Thompson
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

Spain have had a lot of possession but Scotland have managed to keep them in front of them. We've had a five-minute spell where Scotland have been absolutely hounded by Spain, a couple of efforts on goal, a couple of flaps by Gemma Fay, a couple of good saves. The only Scotland shot at goal has been the goal. It was fortuitous, but it was good to see the girls celebrate. The job is half done but Portugal are worrying me.

  15. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Scotland 1-0 Spain

    Back under way.

There's been a change in the Scotland midfield at the break - Lana Clelland is on for Leanne Ross.

And a change for Spain too. Valencia striker Maria Paz is on for Jennifer Hermoso, who looked really bright. Injury?

  16. Kick-offpublished at 46 mins

    Portugal 1-1 England

Portugal get the second half in Tilburg under way. England are in their traditional white kit.

    HT: Portugal 1-1 England

England's players are back out in Tilburg and in a huddle.

They're 45 minutes away from the quarter-finals, as it stands, but they'll want to play much better than they did in the first half.

  18. 'Scotland have gone through every emotion'published at 20:45 British Summer Time 27 July 2017

    Julie Fleeting
Former Scotland striker on BBC Radio Scotland

I think we've gone through every emotion. We've ridden the storm well, and going ahead just before half-time was perfect timing for us. They can now go in at half-time, regroup, and come up with a plan for the second half.

SamC: Frustrating watching this. We all know that England are better. Right time to have a bad day at the office though.

Rory McMahon: Last time I genuinely enjoyed watching England play football was when Gazza wore the shirt, until now that is.
