    Portugal 1-1 England

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 live

When England left-back Alex Greenwood is high up the pitch and Diana Silva is playing through and around her zone, Millie Bright has got to drop in and cover her.

  2. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 28 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Spain

Alexia Putellas dramatically throws herself over Frankie Brown's dangled leg in the box, looking for a penalty, but the ref waves it all away. Good decision in my book.

I tell you what though, there was a fantastic first-time flick with the outside of the boot from Vicky Losada to find her. You feel that Spain are only warming up.

  3. YELLOW CARD (England)published at 28 mins

    Portugal 1-1 England

England midfielder Izzy Christiansen joins Fara Williams in the referee's book with another late challenge, this time on former Chelsea Ladies right-back Ana Borges. It's a clear foul and there are no complaints.

  4. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Spain

Leila Ouahabi drives one over the bar now as another quick-fire Spanish move opens Scotland up at the back.

A better pass from Mariona Caldentey on the edge might have made more of it, too. As it was it arrived way out wide to the left-back, who smashed badly over.

  5. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Portugal 1-1 England

Portugal break down their right once again. This time it's Carolina Mendes with the cross, but it doesn't reach Diana Silva in the middle, in a role reversal.

  6. Quick-Silva causing England problemspublished at 24 mins

    Portugal 1-1 England

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport in Tilburg

Diana Silva was the architect of the equaliser, and she has real pace and power to give Millie Bright and Laura Bassett problems at the back.

A lack of speed is one weakness in the centre of England's defence, and other teams will take note, including France.

  7. CHANCE!published at 24 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Spain

Every Scotland shirt in their own half as Spain zip the ball about with increasing confidence.

Every clearance from the Scottish backline finds another red shirt. Mariona Caldentey takes this one down effortlessly, drives at the defenders in front of her, and lays the ball off to Amanda Sampedro in space...

But the Atletico Madrid midfielder's first-time shot from the edge of the box is high, wayward. Relief. For now.

    Portugal 1-1 England

Portugal are playing with far greater intent and belief now.

A bit of uncertainty from Millie Bright allows Diana Silva in again, down the right, but her cross is slightly too strong for Carolina Mendes in the middle.

  9. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Portugal 1-1 England

England felt there might have been a foul in the build-up to that Portugal goal.

But the referee saw nothing in it.

Just to stress it again, if this scoreline stays the same in Tilburg, Scotland will be out, no matter how they get on against Spain.

  10. 'Scotland have come out fighting'published at 20:07 British Summer Time 27 July 2017

    Scotland 0-0 Spain

    Amy MacBeath
    BBC Scotland Sport in Deventer

As expected Spain are dominating possession with much of the early play in Scotland's half.

Anna Signeul's side had a little bit of the luck they've been missing when the Torrejon free-kick came off Gemma Fay and ricocheted off the woodwork.

The Scots have come out fighting though, making a few runs of their own up the left side. It's going to be an intense game, and a fast one if the first 15 minutes are anything to go by.

  11. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Spain

Not good for Scotland, that Portugal goal. They need England to win if they are to have any chance of progressing.

But they also need to beat Spain by two goals.

    Carolina Mendes

This wasn't in the script! Portugal level amid some uncharacteristically scrappy England defending.

Carolina Mendes has a simple tap-in after Diana Silva squares from the bye-line on the right, after England had a chance to clear it.

There were plenty of England players back in the penalty area, but they didn't deal with Silva's run at all.

    Scotland 0-0 Spain

Leanne Ross with a lovely turn, transforming Spanish pressure into a sweeping Scotland move out wide left to Lisa Evans. But again the momentum breaks down all too quickly with a heavy touch from Chloe Arthur.

Now the red of Spain is back in place. And they can counter too...

Silva Meseguer tests Gemma Fay's gloves once more, with a stinging shot from range that dances across the eyes. This time the take is clean.

  14. Keeper errors creeping inpublished at 15 mins

    Portugal 0-1 England

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport in Tilburg

Poor goalkeeping is often highlighted in women's football, but despite a severe improvement in recent years, there have been four or five clangers at this tournament.

England won't care. They've now scored goals in the second, seventh and 11th minutes in each of their group games.

  15. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Portugal 0-1 England

Mark Sampson's side are enjoying plenty of possession. Portugal can't afford to lose tonight, so at some stage, presumably they'll have to go for it.

  16. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Spain

Scotland beginning to push back what was a growing Spanish tide of sweeping passing and steady possession. Now here's a lovely Zidane turn from Caroline Weir in midfield, but she runs into a red wall.

There is a man, presumably a local Dutchman, in the crowd, dressed like a cartoon postman, manically ringing a bell he's brought especially for the occasion.

  17. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Portugal 0-1 England

England have played just 190 minutes of football at Euro 2017 and have scored nine goals already. That's not a bad return...

  18. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Portugal 0-1 England

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 live

It's a poor error, but credit to Toni Duggan, she still had to finish it. She's a top class player.

  19. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Scotland 0-0 Spain

Well, it's good news for Scotland too, that England goal.

They need the English to beat Portugal if they're to progress, but they also need to beat Spain by two goals...

And Spain are looking pretty handy here. All the early running.

If England do beat Portugal, a draw is enough for the Spanish to go through.

  20. goal

    Toni Duggan

The keeper makes a mistake and it's 1-0!

On the night of her 50th cap, Toni Duggan receives a gift from Portugal's Patricia Morais, who fluffs her clearance straight to the former Manchester City striker.

Duggan gathers the ball and lifts it over the keeper and in. A dream start for Mark Sampson's side.
