    Sherida Spitse

Brilliant free-kick, straight off the training ground!

Everyone is expecting it to be curled round the wall or blasted over it, but the Netherlands captain Sherida Spitse fools everyone as she slams a sweet, low strike along the ground in to the bottom corner, after a dummy.

The hosts lead for a second time in the game!

The hosts win a free-kick right on the edge of the Denmark penalty area, as Arsenal's Danielle van de Donk goes down. This could be dangerous.

The Community Shield finished an hour or so ago with Arsenal beating Chelsea in a shootout at Wembley.

Record Chelsea signing Alvaro Morata - a late substitute - dragged a poor effort wide moments after goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had blazed over in a first use of a new penalty shootout system.

Premier League champions Chelsea had gone ahead through Victor Moses, before Pedro was sent off for an ugly lunge on Mohamed Elneny. From the resulting free-kick, debutant Sead Kolasinac headed the Gunners level to take the match to penalties.

The shootout - the first in English football to follow the ABBA format - saw Chelsea miss back-to-back penalties to allow Olivier Giroud to win the match from the spot.

It has been so open, right from the very first minute. It's been a wonderful spectacle to watch so far.

Both these sides are in their first European final. Denmark had previously lost in five Euros semi-finals, while the Dutch reached the last four back in 2009.

Germany's 22-year reign as European champions is coming to an end, after they won the previous six consecutive tournaments... Are we entering a new era in European women's football now?

The fans have sure been enjoying the entertainment in Enschede so far.

Among those watching on with slightly orange-tinted glasses are Louis van Gaal and Marco van Basten.

They'll be hoping to witness the Netherlands win their first ever major women's tournament this afternoon.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45+2 mins

    Netherlands 2-2 Denmark

One of the best first halves I can remember for a very long time comes to an end. Off they go for a breather.

  12. YELLOW CARD (Denmark)published at 45 mins

    Netherlands 2-2 Denmark

Denmark striker Nadia Nadim is booked for a challenge on Stephanie van der Gragt, as two minutes of added time are added on at the end of the first half.

  13. YELLOW CARD (Netherlands)published at 43 mins

    Netherlands 2-2 Denmark

The hosts' defender Anouk Dekker is booked for a foul on Pernille Harder around 10 yards outside the area, but the Denmark skipper fires over from the resultant free-kick.

    Netherlands 2-2 Denmark

Theresa Nielsen - scorer of the late headed goal that knocked out holders Germany in the quarter-finals - sends over a wicked cross from the right flank, aiming for the far post.

It beats Arsenal keeper Sari van Veenendaal, but it's just slightly too heavy for Nadia Nadim at the far post. That was close.

    Netherlands 2-2 Denmark

Denmark are just keeping possession in their own half for a brief spell, in probably the quietest moment of the half so far.

  16. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Netherlands 2-2 Denmark

So far, it's the game of the tournament, without a shadow of a doubt.

Don't bet against more goals before half-time. Both teams are going for it.

  17. goal

GOAL - Netherlands 2-2 Denmarkpublished at 33 mins

    Pernille Harder

Oh my, what a game! Denmark captain Pernille Harder beats the offside trap, skips away down the right and cuts inside.

She's given a generous amount of room on the edge of the box by the Dutch defence but she sure takes full advantage!

She slams a low shot inside the near post. It's a smashing individual goal.

    Netherlands 2-1 Denmark

Denmark go close to an equaliser but Nadia Nadim is denied by Sari van Veenendaal in the Netherlands goal. Nadim couldn't quite get there first, racing on to the ball in to the box.

It's still end-to-end stuff. Will this game ever settle down? From a neutral perspective, let's hope not.

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 live

If you give them that much time to spin, pick a spot and shoot, that's exactly what the Netherlands will do.

Lieke Martens smashes it but the keeper maybe should have done better.

  20. goal

GOAL - Netherlands 2-1 Denmarkpublished at 28 mins

    Lieke Martens

That's a cracking finish! There doesn't seem to be much on for the Netherlands, on the edge of the box, but Barcelona's Lieke Martens turns, creates space for herself and fires a low, bouncing shot just inside the post.

One of the stars of the tournament scores one of the goals of the tournament. Super stuff.

And the hosts have fought back from conceding an early goal to lead inside the half-hour mark.
