The hosts' semi-final against England on Thursday set a new record attendance for a women's football match in the Netherlands, of 27,093.

They're back at the same venue this afternoon - the home ground of Eredivisie side FC Twente - in Enschede and are expecting another new national record.

The stands look absolutely packed. Kick-off is just over 10 minutes away.

Denmark were runners-up behind the hosts in Group A, with six points, after wins over Belgium and 2013 finalists Norway.

A shock 2-1 win over the defending champions Germany followed in the last eight for the Danes, before they beat Austria 3-0 on penalties in the last four.

They're ranked 15th in the world, three places behind the Netherlands.

The Netherlands have won all of their games at the tournament so far, conceding just once in five matches.

They topped Group A before beating Sweden in the last eight and then put three past favourites England in Thursday's semi-final.

All the hosts' games have sold out and they've been backed throughout the tournament by passionate fans, cheering the team coach as it arrives for games and partying in the streets.

New Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema will lead the line for the Netherlands up front and - after her opening goal against England on Thursday - she was put in front of the world's media this week, in the build-up.

Barcelona winger Lieke Martens and Liverpool's Shanice van de Sanden have also enjoyed excellent tournaments for the hosts, along with Arsenal's Danielle van de Donk and former Chelsea midfielder Jackie Groenen. They pass the ball with real style.

Meanwhile, Denmark's captain and highest-profile player is forward Pernille Harder, who is having a fantastic tournament. She's been a constant threat so far at Euro 2017. She'll be up front alongside Portland Thorns' Nadia Nadim.

After inspiring plenty of fans, England ultimately fell short of their stated goal of winning the European Championship.

At the World Cup two years ago, a semi-final defeat by Japan was followed by a third-place play-off win over Germany as Mark Sampson's Lionesses left Canada on a high. This time, a last-four defeat by hosts the Netherlands left the players in tears.

The hosts name the same starting side that beat England 3-0 (sorry to remind you) in the semi-finals, including Arsenal trio Sari Van Veenendaal, Danielle van de Donk and Vivanne Miedema, plus Liverpool winger Shanice van de Sanden.

Denmark change two from the side that overcame Austria on penalties in the last four, with left-back Cecilie Sandvej and midfielder Sofie Junge Pedersen coming in.

This final is like a plot from Rocky, says Denmark coach Nils Nielsen, who compared his team to Rocky Balboa - and their opponents to Apollo Creed, his great boxing rival in the film series.

The Danes are seeking revenge, having lost 1-0 to the Dutch in the group stage.

"We had a very interesting first match," Nielsen told BBC World Service. "It's like the 'Rocky' movies.

"In the first fight between Rocky and Apollo Creed, Apollo Creed was a bit surprised that Rocky actually fought back and we fought back in the second half. It's going to be like the second match between Apollo Creed and Rocky and, this time, Rocky's going to win."

Here we are then... Three weeks since it all got under way, we've reached the final of the largest Women's Euros ever.

We've seen favourites flop, big names tumble, a 22-year reign as champions end, a historic 6-0 win for England and even a victory at a major tournament for the Scots!

But it's now left for hosts the Netherlands and Denmark to battle it out, and for one of them to win their first European Championship.

The final in FC Twente's sold-out ground in Enschede gets under way at 16:00 BST.
