There were just 82 seconds between Pedro's red card and Sead Kolasinac's goal.

It was certainly dramatic and has cranked up the atmosphere in these closing stages.

A fine ball by Willian takes out two Arsenal defenders and finds Alvaro Morata at the far post but it is just a touch too far ahead of the striker, who can't keep his shot down.

Moments after Victor Moses clears a dangerous Theo Walcott cross, Xhaka picks up the ball some 30 yards from goal and takes matters into his own hands, cannoning a shot goalwards. It's in all the way until Thibaut Courtois leaps and tips it wide. A great save for a great shot.

What Giroud will give Arsenal is a physical presence when balls do go into the box. I'm surprised Iwobi has been brought off. He has caused Chelsea problems down that right-hand side.

Alexandre Lacazette looks like he will definitely feel at home in English football.

Arsenal will have a very different kind of threat now with Olivier Giroud playing up the middle.

That's the end of Alexandre Lacazette's day. A decent performance, going closest to scoring with a shot that hit the post in the first half. Alex Iwobi is also going off as Oliver Giroud and Theo Walcott come on.

New season, new haircut for Walcott it seems. Long and slick on top, short on the sides. Interesting.
