Arsenal's record signing Alexandre Lacazette went closest with a curling shot against the post, though it's Danny Welbeck who has been the most exciting attacker on display so far.

If you watch closely there is a touch. Bellerin has touched the left boot of Willian which is why he has tripped himself. It wasn't a dive. it's ridiculous.

There's enough contact for Willian, hence why he fell.

Not too many chances for either side here, this is probably Chelsea's best one so far.

Goalless at the break. Alexandre Lacazette hitting the post is the closest we've come to breaking the deadlock.

Late corner for Arsenal as Cesar Azpilicueta puts the ball behind. Granit Xhaka swings it in but it is far too deep and Chelsea clear.

Good point Michael - replays do seem to suggest Willian tripped himself.

Three minutes tagged on at the end of a half that started at a fast pace - certainly for Arsenal - but petered out a bit as it wore on.

Chelsea legs flying around everywhere as Alex Iwobi goes one better than David Luiz with some nifty footwork, twirling his way through a couple of players before getting his shot off, but it is weak and straight at the keeper.

It has taken them a while but Chelsea seem to be in control now.

Nice footwork from David Luiz as he calmly flicks the ball over an onrushing Danny Welbeck before nodding it back to Thibaut Courtois.

Granit Xhaka steps in front of Willian to prevent a Marcos Alonso cross from reaching the Chelsea man.

Antonio Conte is very animated on the touchline at the moment, not completely happy with the performance of his side so far? They've grown into the game but only one shot on target so far - Pedro's effort a few minutes ago.

It is a huge call from Bobby Madley. I think there is contact from Bellerin's knee to Willian's left foot. I think that should be a penalty.

Chelsea fans are appealing for a penalty. Willian tumbles inside the box as both he and Hector Bellerin go for the ball. Referee Bobby Madley strides over and books the Chelsea winger.

"What me ref?" is the look on Willian's face.

Definitely not a penalty in my opinion, Willian just appeared to trip over his own feet. Although not everyone may agree.....

Sead Kolasinac will slot in on that left side of the Arsenal back three with Nacho Monreal moving into the middle.

On comes Sead Kolasinac. The Bosnian full-back who arrived from Schalke in the summer has been impressive in pre-season. He slots into the left side of defence.

Nearly a perfect start for Arsenal's new striker but he was denied by the post.

Normally players are given time for a stitch but it looks like Arsene Wenger has made a decision.

Per Mertesacker heads off the pitch to receive treatment and summer signing Sead Kolasinac starts to warm up. Looks the fullback will be coming on for his debut.

Chelsea almost take advantage of the extra man as Victor Moses crosses low at the near post but Petr Cech clears with his leg.
