At the moment, Burnley are matching their biggest winning margin in a Premier League away game. They won 4-1 at Hull in April 2010. They are winning 3-0 here.

Burnley threaten from a corner. The ball is swung in and met by Vokes, but he can't get the requisite direction on the ball, which drifts wide.

Aleksandar Todorov: I am really confused about Chelsea. What the heck is happening there. They are playing like a relegation-level team. Wake up.

Mutisya Maingi: I wonder if this is early sign of Conte being given the Mourinho treatment by Chelsea players...

Marcos Alonso is proving Chelsea's best attacking option. He charges down the left and wins a corner with a deflected shot/cross. The corner is relatively comfortable for the visitors, though, as Heaton claims.

They are not gelling together as a team. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that dressing room at half time. Antonio Conte looks like he is desolate. He isn't his normal, animated self.

There needs to be a reaction. Sam Vokes has just got too much for them.

If you are Burnley you have to assume Chelsea won't be as bad again this half. The Clarets just have to maintain their discipline and energy-levels.

Alonso serves warning of something more positive from the home side with a long-range effort that Heaton has to tip over. the resulting corner causes a few problems before the away keeper gathers.

Gregory Mandapat: Burnley fans chanting "Are you watching, Andre Gray?" Looks like the Clarets don't miss him at all.

Dennis: Feeling better now as a Liverpool fan. Chelsea 3-0 down before half time! Wow!

Burnley have been the better team by a distance and Chelsea are a shadow of what they were last season.

The Blues are down to 10 men and look disorganised - that's not Burnley's fault, that's Chelsea's.

In 25 years of the Premier League, I am struggling to think of a bigger upset on the opening day of the season than this. I remember Coventry winning 3-0 at Arsenal in 1993 with a Micky Quinn hat-trick, but this is right up there with the biggest opening-day shocks.

Boos. Lots of them. Mostly aimed at referee Craig Pawson. His decision to send off Gary Cahill has played a part in this scoreline. The mediocrity of the home players has had a bigger role.

Burnley have been brilliant.

The Chelsea fans are fuming, as are the Blues players. Tarkowski blocks Batshuayi on the edge of the box but the referee sees nothing in it. David Luiz then gets a talking to from the ref for some back-chat. The Blues are all over the shop.

I really am not surprised, because Chelsea have not looked like a team or a group at all. They are not working together. They do not look as though they are working hard - nothing is working and this isn't strong enough as a side.

Antonio Conte should have made major changes at 2-0 down, because now it is too late.

Look at that Chelsea bench - they cannot go and win the game from here.

Rob Edwards: This is the 2015/16 Chelsea team all over again if not worse.

Briyan: No captain. No striker. No Hazard. No morale... No trophies. No UCL football.

Nobody, nobody would have predicted this. A lot will be made of the red card, but 11 men or 10, Chelsea haven't been great - and Burnley have been excellent.

It's worth remembering that Burnley won one of 21 away games in all competitions last season. Chelsea have lost only one of their last 19 home games in all competitions. Coincidentally, Burnley's sole away win and Chelsea's sole home defeat were both against the same team - Crystal Palace.
