  1. 'It all happened in the flash of a moment'published at 19:01 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Brighton 0-1 Man City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

Dale Stephens has been punished for an elementary error in the field. In the Championship if you make an elementary error, you do not get punished. In the Premier League you do. The ball ends up at the feet of Aguero, the keeper is dashing off his line, and he just slots it past him. It all happened in the flash of a moment, while Dale Stephens is still kicking himself for making that elementary error.

    Brighton 0-1 Man City

Brighton are the 30th team Sergio Aguero has scored against in the Premier League (out of 31 he has faced).

  3. goal

GOAL - Brighton 0-1 Manchester Citypublished at 70 mins

    Sergio Aguero

Brighton make a mistake and City are ahead. Dale Stephens is day dreaming on the halfway line and loses the ball. David Silva slips the ball through to Sergio Aguero, who smashes the ball past Mat Ryan.

  4. 'He is a right-sided player'published at 18:58 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

It is Danilo's first game, so I'm just going to leave it at that. I saw the pre-season games, and he is a right-sided player, there is no doubt about that.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 69 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

On comes Leroy Sane for Manchester City at left wing/wing-back. Off comes Danilo, who has been decent but nothing special on his debut.

Nicholas Belfitt: Why are City fans surprised by this? this is the Premier League not La Liga! Money does not buy you it.

Paul Humpreys:This is just like watching the other Manchester team. And I don't mean that as a compliment.

Joe: Paolo Maldini, best left back of all time... right footed.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 67 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

Kevin de Bruyne shoots and it hits Lewis Dunk's hand. City want a penalty but his arm was down by his side. Not anything he could have done about that. Conspiracy theorists will no doubt be remembering that Gabriel Jesus had a goal ruled out for handball though.

Jason Bell:City need to sit back and let Brighton come to us, then we can find space rather than trying to play in their box.

Will Davies: The thought of Aguero and Jesus is tantalising. Unfortunately the midfield are thinking the same and not providing.

Steve: I'm pretty sure Brighton would be playing the same free-flowing, attacking game against City if they were being bankrolled by an Emirate state. Modern football is not a game of equals.

  9. 'Sane introduction is something I would welcome'published at 18:55 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

It looks like we are about to welcome Leroy Sane, which depending on who comes off, is something I would welcome.

  10. 'Toure is the ideal man to come on'published at 18:54 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

I think Yaya Toure's attacking skills and eye for the goal, makes him the ideal man to come on.

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

    Warren Aspinall
    Ex-Brighton striker on BBC Sussex

Half a chance for Glenn Murray and he will probably take it, he usually does.

Murray has scored twice in his last three games against City.

  12. 'They haven't scored, but they look much, much brighter'published at 18:52 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

Brighton have gained confidence from the fact that in the second half, whenever they have entered Manchester City's penalty area, they have been able to create something. They haven't scored, but they look much, much brighter.

  13. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

It's mostly Manchester City in terms of possession but it doesn't feel like a goal is definitely going to come.

Kevin de Bruyne's cross goes to nobody in particular.

  14. 'He's a brilliant journeyman striker'published at 18:51 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

This substitution in my opinion will make Brighton stronger. Glenn Murray has got goals wherever he has been. He is a brilliant journeyman striker who has not been able to stop scoring goals throughout his career.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

Brighton make their second change as Glenn Murray replaces Tomer Hemed up front. Half an hour for Albion to hang on.

  18. Pump up the volumepublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

    Chris Bevan
BBC Sport at the Amex Stadium

It is just as well for the sake of my ear-drums that Brighton have not done very much attacking in this game.

That was amazing volume from the home fans around that flurry of chances for the Seagulls.

Kevin de Bruyne has a shot from distance which Lewis Dunk blocks with his head. It's been that kind of game.

  20. 'We are living dangerously here'published at 18:47 British Summer Time 12 August 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Man City

    Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

Ederson could only hope it went the wrong side of the post, and it did. We are living dangerously here. This is Brighton's best spell of the game.
