It's all Brighton now (in the last 60 seconds). From their corner, Shane Duffy has a shot which is deflected just wide. Ederson flaps at their next corner (uh oh for City fans), Lewis Dunk has a shot blocked - and then another shot blocked. And then another Albion player fires a 25-yard shot wide.

Sergio Aguero has scuffed it wide. I am giving Lewis Dunk some credit there for forcing him to put it wide. If Dunk didn't put him off, Aguero would have netted that 99 times out of 100.

Manchester City should be ahead here but Sergio Aguero makes a mess of a shot that goes high and wide. Shane Duffy accidentally plays in the Argentine with a shocking pass backwards, but Aguero - under pressure from Lewis Dunk - gets it all wrong inside the box.

Gabriel Jesus has the ball in the net for a second time, he taps a cross into an empty net, but it's ruled out for offside.

Mat Ryan (with 17) has actually made more passes than any outfield Brighton player.

City are spraying the ball around. It eventually ends up with Fernandinho shooting from 30 yards and a diving Mat Ryan being able to hold onto the shot.

If you had asked me if I would like to see Leroy Sane playing, the answer will be an emphatic yes. Danilo is there and I do not think right-footed left backs are useful in any system, let alone three at the back, but I would be playing Sane, definitely.

Brighton have done so well with work-rate off the ball. Defensive and organisation spot on.

Here are the touch maps from the first half. You can probably guess which is which. City have had the ball a lot more - and in much better positions. But it's still goalless.

Man City had 76% of the ball in the first half - and nine shots, but only two on target. Brighton have only had that one effort - technically on target - but a ghost would have been able to stop Lewis Dunk's header. Hell, even Claudio Bravo would have kept it out.

It will do Brighton's confidence a bit of good at half-time. They know what is expected in the second half. If I was in Chris Hughton's shoes, I would be pleased.

It has not been a poor first half, it has just not been exhilarating from City's point of view. Kyle Walker has been outstanding and he has looked very impressive.
