Oh lordy me, this is one of the great own goals. Certainly one of the best you'll see anywhere today.

Johnny Russell, having just blazed an effort over the bar at the right end, has now launched an attempted clearance into his own net.

One to watch later (but not if you're Johnny Russell, obviously).

    That should help the atmosphere!

There's a big and expectant crowd at Cardiff City Stadium, but the sense of optimism stemming from the hosts' perfect start to the season has been punctured by Matt Smith's goal for QPR.

Luke Freeman's cross hung in the air for a long time and Cardiff goalkeeper Neil Etheridge failed in his attempt to punch it clear, leaving the towering Matt Smith to nod in simply from close range.
