You've got to admire Chelsea's resilience.

After last season it looked as though only one team could go on and win this, but like last season the Blues simply do not know when they're beaten.

    Incredible from Chelsea!

Antonio Conte was busy appealing for a penalty for his team while the ball is slid into Marcos Alonso who is charging into the box.

But it's the fault of the keeper, who allows the shot to go straight through him. Lloris would have been better off blocking that shot with his feet. It's a poor goalkeeping error.

    Marcos Alonso

    What a response!

Marcos Alonso has probably spared Michy Batshuayi's blushes as he swiftly restores Chelsea's lead.

David Luiz wins the ball in midfield from Moussa Sissoko and finds Pedro, who in turn feeds Alonso on the overlap inside the box and the full-back drives the ball across Hugo Lloris and into the far corner.

I'm sure Antonio Conte will feel aggrieved that the free-kick was given in the first place. But that is all about Eriksen's delivery - it was a wonderful ball in, and catastrophe for Batshuayi.

    Tottenham are deservedly level.

A second goal for Chelsea would surely condemn Tottenham to another Wembley defeat. The Blues have rarely looked like getting it, but there's a promising moment as Willian breaks forward before a well-timed Ben Davies tackle ends his run.
