Anchored by the excellent Amandine Henry, France are starting to pull the strings in midfield a little bit. Camille Abily is able to feed the ball forward for the likes of Eugenie Le Sommer and you suspect that trio might be the architects of England's downfall.

England's best chances seem to be coming down their right where Lucy Bronze and Jordan Nobbs are flying down the wing but are up against the speedy left-back Sakina Karchaoui.

A bit of afters as first Millie Bright clatters Laura Georges and then Eugenie le Sommer theatrically goes down under the challenge of Jade Moore. The England bench are not impressed.

For me, no penalty at all. I think Jodie could have stood her ground and went down a little too easily there.

The tamest of penalty appeals from Jodie Taylor as she tumbles under a challenge but there appeared to be little in that. France counter well, looking a danger on the break now but Marie-Laure Delie's shot is deflected away.

Jordan Nobbs hits another deep free-kick but this time keeper Sarah Bouhaddi wins it, claims it and releases early to send Eugenie le Sommer away for France. Into the middle - well cleared by Steph Houghton!

Jill Scott will miss the semi-final, if England get through. That's a second booking of the tournament for a rash sliding tackle on Amandine Henry. A definite yellow!

The game's early cut-and-thrust is moving into a period of stalemate now as both sides seem to be cancelling each other out. Ellen White is almost clear at one end before Jill Scott has to clean up at the other.

Hesitancy at the back from France goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi gets Jodie Taylor, and Jonathan Pearce, excited but the French back four just about clear their lines.

Well in! Lucy Bronze is such a livewire of a player to watch. Whether it's attack or defence she gives it everything, diving in to win a tackle right on the edge of the penalty area.

Jodie Taylor almost gets in behind at the other end but she runs out of pitch and can't keep it in.

England have ramped it up and started to keep possession in the final third. The front two are piling on the pressure and not allowing France to build anything from the back.

Quality from Lucy Bronze as the Manchester City right-back links up with Jordan Nobbs, cuts inside and rolls her defender before running into the area. She's very close to finding Jodie Taylor too.

Fran Kirby hasn't seen much of the ball so far but give her a sniff of a chance and she'll score. Just ask Spain!
