  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:41 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

What a chance! Leicester should really be ahead as they have a three-on-two counter attack. Riyad Mahrez is the ball carrier, he has options left and right and elects to play in Islam Slimani. The ball is running away from him a touch, he has to take the shot on early and Thibaut Courtois makes a fine save!

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:39 British Summer Time 9 September 2017

    Arsenal 2-0 Bournemouth

A really poor piece of play, followed immediately by a fine save from Asmir Begovic. Tyrone Mings plays the ball back to him, he duffs a clearance straight into Danny Welbeck and it looks like a tap-in for Alexandre Lacazette. But Begovic gets up really sharply to save the Frenchman's effort.

Begovic calls out Mings. The Peter Schmeichel school of goalkeeping; whatever happens, blame the defender...

    Abdoulaye Doucoure (39 mins)

Well, I didn't think a goal was ever going to come in this one but good work by Abdoulaye Doucoure gets the breakthrough.

Southampton only manage to half clear a ball into the box and Doucoure pounces on it on the edge of the area, taking a touch to get it under control before steering it home just inside the right upright.

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
BBC Radio 5 live at St Mary's

Richarlison is a really exciting winger and he showed a couple of superb bits of skill to tee himself up for a strike at goal which was blocked by Jack Stephens.

But he also doesn't mind a bit of the amateur dramatics when he feels he's been fouled. We've seen a couple of exaggerated rolls after challenges by Cedric, neither given as fouls, and it seems there's just a bit of needle developing between the pair of them.

    Arsenal 2-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth are struggling to get out of their own half at the Emirates.

Josh King (17) has been the most advanced player so far, while Jermain Defoe (18) has had only seven touches.

    Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

There are goals in Alvaro Morata, that much is obvious. His movement so far has been excellent, picking up the ball in space on the left of the penalty area. First, a powerful shot is brilliantly blocked by Wes Morgan before he then wastes a crossing opportunity.

    Everton 0-1 Tottenham

    Leon Osman
Ex-Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

What an extraordinary unfortunate opportunity for Everton! I don't think he knew much about it, he seemed to look a bit dazed but it was an important block by Toby Alderweireld.

That was the first time Everton have really got into the box. Tottenham are on top.

Everton attempt to respond quickly to that Tottenham goal but Toby Alderweireld denies Sandro with his face.

    Brighton 0-0 West Brom

It's taken a while for Brighton to settle to life in the top flight but they are looking every bit the Premier League side at the moment. Some neat football with Anthony Knockaert pulling the strings.

All they need is that first goal...

Chelsea still on top at Leicester but they haven't fashioned a chance of note for a long time now. Antonio Conte is out at the edge of his technical area, bellowing at Marcos Alonso.

For all the bad luck he's had in August, he certainly had some good luck then.

It's difficult to blame the goalkeeper but Harry Kane won't argue.

He will be delighted with that, no matter how it comes.

    There's the ton!

It had to be didn't it? August is gone, September has arrived and Harry Kane bags his 100th goal for Tottenham.

It's a beauty as well as he spots Jordan Pickford off his line and curls a looping effort over the Everton keeper from outside the box. Great strike... or was it a cross? He won't care.

    Everton 0-0 Tottenham

It's almost two years since Tottenham last scored a goal in the Premier League from a free-kick. Quite a surprising statistic given the attacking talent they have.

Christian Eriksen was the last to bag a goal from a free-kick and he takes this one, 25 yards from goal, but fires the ball into the wall.

Pick that one out! Lovely finish from the Gunners' number nine as Alexandre Lacazette puts them 2-0 up.

Mesut Ozil pops a pass into the path of Danny Welbeck, he lays it off to the Frenchman, who bends a shot past the keeper from the edge of the area.
