Now the attention turns to three more Premiership fixtures, plus a full card in the Championship, League One and League Two.

Hibernian, Livingston and Arbroath are all unfurling their league championship flags.

  3. FULL-TIME - Celtic 4-1 Heartspublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 5 August 2017

Celtic start where they finished last season - and where they hope to finish this one two - with another thumping win.

The champions have started their assault on another unbeaten domestic season as they chase that seventh title in a row.

Hearts provided only token resistance until the loss of the first goal and whoever they appoint as their new head coach faces a tough job to rejuvenate them.

Hearts are having a wee flurry as Celtic relax into the glory of their victory.

Arnaud Djoum dispossesses Scott Brown before firing a fine looping drive towards goal, with goalkeeper Craig Gordon coming up with an over-demonstrative save designed for the cameras.

Craig Gordon went to ground too quickly and got beaten at his near post. He will be really disappointed with that

    Isma Goncalves

Shock, horror, Celtic have lost a goal at home.

Isma Goncalves picks up a good pass from Arnaud Djoum and shrugs off the challenge of Jozo Simunovic before firing powerfully off the body of goalkeeper Craig Gordon and high into the net.

Gordon's positioning was in question as Scotland drew with England last month and he didn't look too clever there either.

Isma Goncalves shows some impressive footwork inside the Celtic penalty box and tries to set up Don Cowie charging in, but the striker's pass is too fast for the former Scotland midfielder.

    Quote Message

What is about Hearts and poor left-backs? It has been line after line of them. Oshaniwa was poor, Sowah was poor, Rherras...and now Grzelak. Why can't Craig Levein source a good left-back?
