  1. Postpublished at 57mins

  2. goal

    GOAL - Celtic 2-0 Heartspublished at 50mins

    Scott Sinclair

It is too easy for Celtic as a hapless attempt to clear from Aaron Hughes from a corner lands invitingly into the path of Scott Sinclair at the back post and the winger stabs it into the unguarded net.

  3. Postpublished at 4mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

Hearts goalkeeper Jack Hamilton should do better than push a Callum McGregor shot into the path of Scott Sinclair before the visitors clear for a corner.

  4. Postpublished at 3mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

Christophe Berra has a chance to equalise for Hearts as he leaps high above the Celtic defence at a corner, but the Scotland defender can't get enough on his header and the ball rebounds towards goal off home midfielder Olivier Ntcham before being scrambled clear.

  7. Sviatchenko on crutchespublished at 13:26 British Summer Time 5 August 2017

    HT: Celtic 1-0 Hearts

Erik Sviatchenko was hoping that a scan to the injury he picked up against Rosenborg in midweek would not reveal a long-term injury.

It didn't look promising for the Denmark central defender as he arrived at Celtic Park ahead of kick-off on crutches.

He was previously with them from 2008-2013 and won the League Cup during that stint.

Celtic can do this to any team in Scotland. But I am happy the way Hearts have gone about their business and have an attitude that was lacking last week

  10. More physical Hearts - Bonnerpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 5 August 2017

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Hearts have been physical and robust, playing more like a Robbie Neilson team than an Ian Cathro one. They are showing the hunger they didn't show last week, but they are fortunate to be only 1-0 down. I don't know what is coming next - another Celtic goal or a red card for Hearts

  11. HALF-TIME - Celtic 1-0 Heartspublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 5 August 2017

Hearts survive that late bit of pressure and can be relieved that they are only one goal behind.

  12. CLOSE!published at 45mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

Scott Brown tees up Callum McGregor inside the box with a naughty little back-heel, but the his Scotland team-mate screws his low drive wide of Hearts' far post.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 43mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

Hearts defender Michael Smith is the latest to be booked for holding back Leigh Griffiths as Celtic look to break.

  14. Postpublished at 41mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

There is an air of expectation as Leigh Griffiths steps up to take a free-kick in the range from which he scored two stunners recently for Scotland against England, but the Celtic striker fires wastefully over the bar and ends embarrassingly on his backside.

  15. Postpublished at 39mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

Hearts' new Polish left-back, Rafal Gzelak is having a bit of a nightmare and that should have been a penalty as the player who arrived from Korona Kielce has a hold of Nir Bitton's shirt as they challenge for a cross ball.

  16. Postpublished at 38mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

Celtic are cranking up the pressure and James Forrest weaves past a couple of challenges before stinging the hands of goalkeeper Jack Hamilton.

  17. Lafferty on the brinkpublished at 33mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

Kyle Lafferty has to be careful as he receives a talking to from the referee for a theatrical attempt to win a free-kick at the edge of the Celtic penalty area.

Remember, the Northern Ireland striker has just been booked.

  18. Slack Grzelakpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 5 August 2017

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

    Quote Message

Dreadful defending from an experienced player - Grzelak, the left-back. If he just steps up, Griffiths is offside, but he decides to run with him. I don't know why he did that. He must know he has to stay up with the rest of his back four.

    Allan Preston, BBC Scotland summariser

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 31mins

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

Just as predictable as Scott Brown being booked, Kyle Lafferty follows for the latest rash challenge from the Hearts striker.

The big former Rangers man, signed from Norwich City this summer, is obviously fired up for this one but has to cool his temper now.

  20. goal

    GOAL - Celtic 1-0 Heartspublished at 28mins

    Leigh Griffiths

Celtic - and Leigh Griffiths - are off and running after the striker is found by a long ball out of defence from Nir Bitton.

Griffiths would have been offside had Rafal Grzelak not tracked back with the Celtic man, whose first effort is blocked by goalkeeper Jack Hamilton.

However, the ball falls kindly for the striker, who sidesteps the Polish full-back and slides it over the line.
