Benfica 0-1 Man Utd
Manchester United
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho tells BT Sport: "We were in control, David de Gea did not have one save to make. I never felt we could concede a goal and were solid defensively. Sometime I feel being good defensively is a crime, but that is a way of getting results. We are one point from qualifying and one victory away from winning the group with two games at home to play. A good game, solid.
"I knew how good the goalkeeper was, I told the players that. We had a little bit of a strategy, especially on set-pieces to make him uncomfortable. We put men around him on corners so he cannot come out. He risks a lot, but only top keepers do that. He was unlucky for the goal.
"Marcus Rashford suffered something in his knee.
"We knew the Benfica pressure could not stay for 90 minutes. The amazing defensive work Liverpool did against us, Benfica could not do that for the whole game. Without any pressure, we knew the goal would arrive. We forced a little more and with quality and sharpness we could have killed the game more."
Chelsea had just 40% of possession tonight.
Chelsea 3-3 Roma
Chelsea
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte: "It was fair. It was a difficult game against a good team. Above all in the first half we suffered, our performance was good but for sure our football is different than today.
"We suffered possession and it wasn't easy in the first half, despite scoring two goals. The change of the system wasn't good, but when you are in a difficult situation you have to change and sometimes to improvise.
"When we changed in the second half the situation was changing. David Luiz had a little problem in his calf and in this moment I can't risk my players. we are playing always the same players."
Benfica 0-1 Man Utd
Manchester United
Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic tells BT Sport: "We scored a goal from Marcus Rashford's free-kick and we had more chances. We played well in the second half and played well enough to take three points. It was hard for us but we managed to win.
"The manager said to us to try and shoot and get some crosses towards their goalkeeper because he is young and playing in his first game. This is football and I know he is a great goalkeeper and I wish him well for the future.
"We had control, some difficulties in the first 30 minuets but then we controlled the pitch. We used our experience. We could not find the second goal but did not make any mistakes at the back."
Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof: "Benfica is a good team and defended well with their experienced players.
"It felt good. I spent five years here and I am happy for the win. I did not feel anything, just happy to play and I wanted to help my team get the win."
Bayern Munich 3-0 Celtic
We've had the youngest goalkeeper in Champions League history tonight, while Jupp Heynckes (72y 162d) became the oldest manager ever to coach a game in the Champions League.
The Bayern boss did OK.

There probably should have been more goals for Bayern Munich for the amount of possession and chances that they’ve had. Celtic will happy to get out of it with 3-0. They made a couple of chances late on in this game which will give them a little bit of confidence maybe for the return, but they’ve got to come up with a better plan than what they had tonight.
They’ve got to defend better but they’ve also got to have some sort of plan that when they have the ball they just can’t keep giving it away when they’re under pressure.

Iain Moss: the sportsmanship from the United players at the end to their keeper was a true touch of class. proud red!
Josh Earl: much improved 2nd half from United, still not great though.. Result the main thing. Hope Rashford injury isn't bad!!
Elmir Badalov: you can't replace a Defensive Midfielder with Winger, when you are 2-1 ahead at 57th minute #Chelsea, external
Chelsea 3-3 Roma
That Edin Dzeko goal just gets better and better.
"You'd hit 50 of those in training and get one perfect," says Frank Lampard on BT Sport.
"An incredible goal. Sublime"

I saw a very organised Manchester United and Marcus Rashford trying to get forward and make a difference.
Chelsea 3-3 Roma
Chelsea
Chelsea forward Eden Hazard: "It is a good result for both teams but when you are 2-0 up at home you must win the game. Edin Dzeko is a fantastic striker and we stay first in the group.
"Now we have to play in Rome but we will try to win the game. After two defeats it's not easy to bounce back."
Benfica 0-1 Manchester United

Professional job done. A really good away performance. They've dominated the second half. This Benfica side is not as good as the Benfica sides in years gone by but they were really dogged and determined. So it was a really good away performance by Jose Mourinho and his side.
It never looked in real doubt the result, they never looked like conceding. In Marcus Rashford they had the one player who looked like he could score the goal and he did.
Benfica 0-1 Manchester United
An emotional Champions League debut for Benfica keeper Mile Svilar. His error cost his side but the 18-year-old also showed huge promise. He is close to tears at full-time and apologises to the crowd before being consoled by Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool all top their groups at the halfway stage.
English (club) football may be back!

Great game lads.
Bayern Munich 3-0 Celtic
Benfica 0-1 Manchester United
An unnecessary challenge. Benfica's captain Luisao was booked early on and he now flies into a tackle on sub Scott McTominay and is shown a second yellow. Off you go. You should know better.

Does the style of play matter as long as Manchester United keep winning games?
Plenty of talk about Romelu Lukaku but just how important is Marcus Rashford to this Manchester United side?
