    Thomas Muller

Celtic had been creaking already with Thiago having a goal disallowed for the slightest of fouls in the build-up and Robert Lewandowski having a decent penalty shout turned down, and now the Scottish champions are behind.

Thomas Muller is the man on the spot to feed off the scraps as Craig Gordon parries a Lewandowski header, smashing high into the roof of the net.

    Benfica 0-0 Manchester United

Well this is a real shame. Benfica's record-breaking keeper Mile Svilar, just 18, has gone down with an injury. Hamstring?

Former QPR keeper Julio Cesar is the man on the bench...

Oh it looks like he's carrying on, for now.

Benfica go close as Eduardo Salvio slams wide after a cross from the left.

    Chelsea 1-0 Roma

It was the Roma fans making all the noise in the opening stages but the Chelsea fans have found their voice now. They are seven points clear of third-placed Atletico Madrid as it stands.

A peach! What a goal that is.

David Luiz gets the ball about 35 yards from goal, central. The Stamford Bridge crowd urge him to SHOOOOTTTTT, he declines and tries to thread a pass through. A defender cuts it out, so Luiz has another go, curling brilliantly into the corner from about 22 yards out instead.

So much bend on it. That was brilliant.

Anderlecht hold out for only three minutes.

It is more gourmet football from the Parisians as Edison Cavani dashes down the right and pulls the ball back to Kylian Mbappe on the edge of the box.

A rat-a-tat one-two with Marco Verratti cuts the Belgian defence to ribbons and the teenager threads home the finish.

These lot look like genuine contenders this season.

    Chelsea 0-0 Roma

A very watchable game at the Bridge, and that would have been one of the goals of the season! A superb slaloming run from Diego Perotti finds a big hole in front of the Chelsea back three - David Luiz? - and the midfielder is able to advance into it before smashing a shot over the bar from 20 yards.

At the other end Roma keeper Alisson has to be sharp off his line to clear.

That's clumsy at the very least - veteran defender Luisao is booked for a high challenge on Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

  11. CLOSE!published at 6 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Roma

That's a good chance for Chelsea. They have made a slow start but a driving run through the middle from Tiemoue Bakayoko opens Roma up and he finds Alvaro Morata inside the area. Has to take it first time and he can only side-foot straight at the keeper. Needed more whip.

    Barcelona 0-0 Olympiacos

Officials warm up at the Nou CampImage source, Getty Images

A huge banner unfurled down one of the main stands at the Nou Camp called for 'Dialogue, Respect and Sport' before kick-off, in reference to the on-going stand-off over Catalonia's disputed independence referendum.

Olympiacos have set up with all 11 men behind the ball. It is going to be a rearguard action from the visitors.

It is still absolutely hammering down by the way.

    Chelsea 0-0 Roma

Sleepy start from Chelsea as they switch off at a set-piece, Roma take it short and Diego Perotti walks past Cesc Fabregas far too easily. His cross is dangerous but Chelsea clear their lines.

Nalina Sharma: The Miracle in Istanbul....no team ever came back from 3-0 down to win the Champions League ever Liverpool made history

Adrian Paul Hart: Arsenal's 3 - O win over Milan or the 5-1 over Inter. The 3-0 was totally unexpected and the 5-1 was just a special performance.

Phil Neville is on commentary duty for 5 live at Benfica, in the same stadium he won his 50th cap for England at Euro 2004.

"I dreamt about it for about two years that I wanted to get to 50, and it was a European Championship game here. I'll never forget it; I got on the pitch and it was the proudest moment of my life. "

Benfica v Man Utd (19:45 BST)

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho tells BT Sport: "Benfica have much better players (than they are showing) and they have the tradition on how to cope with the big matches. They have had a difficult start, there is big pressure in this country when they fail but they are by far better than our previous opponents.

"At Anfield, Jurgen Klopp played with three midfield players to control the defensive game, they pressed us hard throughout the match. Benfica play with three to try the same because everybody knows without our strong, physical players in midfield, we are short. We have to try to go another way so Juan Mata comes in."

On starting Victor Lindelof against his old club: "The emotions are always present when you come back home but there is no pressure. Phil Jones is injured, so is Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo is not ready. Let him play and he has been doing quite well in the Champions League. I trust him, he is a good player."
