  1. A hat-trick...from left-backpublished at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

Juventus have equalised against Sporting Lisbon through Gozalo Higuain.

If Juve get another and Olympiakos fail to beat Barcelona, the Italian champions will progress tonight. That set of results would also mean that Sporting would be unable to qualify.

In Group B, PSG are beating Anderlecht 5-0. Layvin Kurzawa has completed a second-half hat-trick.

    Not sure I've ever seen a left-back score a hat-trick before...

  2. 'Chelsea need to improve for United'published at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 3-0 Chelsea

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live in Rome

Well, Chelsea are going to have to spend the next two or three days looking at these mistakes.

They haven't been like the Chelsea we know at all and they will need to improve tactically for the game against Manchester United.

Matteo Darmian with some smart defending at the back post.

  4. Protection neededpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 3-0 Chelsea

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live in Rome

I wonder whether Antonio Conte has to pull back that attacking football he likes to play to protect this back three.

They are really struggling this season.

  5. Postpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Manchester United 2-0 Benfica

I didn't give Marcus Rashford the credit he deserves for winning that penalty - the run down the left was electric. He left three men in his wake with pure pace and strength.

  6. 'Bakayoko only at 50%'published at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 3-0 Chelsea

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live in Rome

I still haven't worked out Tiemoue Bakayoko. Since he has come to the Premier League, I haven't seen the player he was at Monaco.

I have not seen the types of quality he was showing. He was the box-to-box powerhouse you thought he would bring to this team.

There is definitely more to come from him. He looks at 50%!

  7. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 3-0 Chelsea

I thought before kick-off that the first defeat for English teams in the Champions League may be on the way in Rome, and it's been soundly delivered. Chelsea are still coming on strong though. It's gone lads.

  8. Postpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Manchester United 2-0 Benfica

CSKA Moscow have thrown a spanner in the works - United are likely to need just one more point from their last two games.

Into the last 10 minutes at Old Trafford.

  9. 'Something's not right'published at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 3-0 Chelsea

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live in Rome

It could have been four, or five. Chelsea have been absolutely dead on their feet. Something isn't right here...

  10. Man Utd face wait to qualifypublished at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

CSKA Moscow now lead FC Basel 2-1 thanks to a Pontus Wernbloom goal.

Man Utd will not be able to qualify tonight if CSKA win.

Elsewhere, Luis Suarez has hit the bar for Barcelona against Olympiakos. Still 0-0 there.

  11. 'Brilliant' Courtoispublished at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 3-0 Chelsea

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live in Rome

That was a brilliant reaction save from Thibaut Courtois. That is two saves in two minutes from him!

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 3-0 Chelsea

Chelsea will be delighted to get out of here with a 3-0 defeat. That's a fine save from Thibaut Courtois, point-blank as sub Kostas Manolas thumps a header on goal.

  13. PSG dominantpublished at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

Layvin Kurzawa has scored again to extend PSG's lead to 4-0 at home to Anderlecht.

Celtic, now 2-1 down against Bayern Munich, are on the brink...

The Scottish champions must at least match PSG's result if they are to stand a chance of finishing in the top-two.

    Daley Blind (Pen 78 mins)

Strange goings on as two or three players want to take the penalty but in the end it's Daley Blind who steps up and smashes home down the middle.

  15. PENALTY UNITEDpublished at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Manchester United 1-0 Benfica

    Marcus Rashford sandwiched - penalty!

Romelu Lukaku is going to take it, no, he leaves it for Daley Blind!

  16. 'Conte saving legs'published at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 3-0 Chelsea

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live in Rome

Chelsea can't get back into this game now and Antonio Conte is obviously saving legs for the big game in the Premier League this weekend with those subs - Morata and Fabregas both off.

  17. goal

GOAL - Celtic 1-2 Bayernpublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Javi Martinez

Defensive midfield, centre-half - add centre-forward as a string to Javi Martinez's bow!WHAT a header that is. Climbing like Robert Lewandowski to meet David Alaba's cross and smash a header home.

He takes a whack to the head in the process. Blood everywhere.

  18. 'Deserved' goalpublished at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Celtic 1-1 Bayern

    John Bennett
    BBC Radio 5 live

This was just what Celtic deserved!

It was a lovely finish through the goalkeeper's legs. They have played superbly in this game and it was the goal they needed.

  19. Postpublished at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Manchester United 1-0 Benfica

Manchester United have not been great again tonight, but we know what Jose MOurinho will think about that. What's the score?

They are winning and they are through to the last 16 as it stands.

Jay Barnes: This is just Conte's master plan to lull Mourinho into a false sense of security. Absolutely genius

Jonathan Pye: Chelsea are out of this game. The manager is making stupid substitutions that have ended the game effectively. Sack Conte

Crwa: Shades of Juventus-Chelsea '12 prior to Di Matteo sacking. Conte losing his way? Probably not. But he has zero plan B.
