  1. 'Mountain to climb'published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 2-0 Chelsea

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live in Rome

It is another mistake in the middle. It's an easy put away!

Cesar Azplicueta wasn't sure and he left it. Chelsea now have a mountain to climb!

I can't believe that defending! Chelsea are still in this game though.

  2. Limp Lukakupublished at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Manchester United 0-0 Benfica

After the feast comes the famine.

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku netted 11 goals in his first 10 games for the club since joining from Everton in the summer but has not found the net in his last five.

The big Belgian is struggling to get involved in the game today, making just five touches on the ball so far.

That is fewer than any other player on the pitch.

GOAL - Roma 2-0 Chelseapublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Stephan El Shaarawy

    The errors are catching!

Moments after David Luiz made an error, it's a really bad one from former Roma man Antonio Rudiger. He lets a ball forward slip past him, no communication, and Stephan El Shaarawy is in and nicks it past the stranded Thibaut Courtois.

    What was going on there?!

  4. How do they get the flare in?published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Man Utd 0-0 Benfica

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Smoke drifting into the sky after a red flare was lit in the Benfica section.

It will probably earn the Portuguese club a fine from Uefa.

What I want to know is how do they get them into a ground where everyone is searched at least once before being allowed in.

  5. Goal in Group Apublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

FC Basel have taken the lead at home to CSKA Moscow through Luca Zuffi.

If that results stay the same,Jose Mourinho's side guarantee their qualification to the last-16 tonight.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 1-0 Chelsea

Gaffe from David Luiz as he tries to control a ball and loses it, Roma break. Edin Dzeko's pass to Stephan El Shaarawy is slightly overhit though and it's enough to drive him wide. Thisbaut Courtois saves the shot with his feet.

  7. Postpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 1-0 Chelsea

Roma would move to the top of the group if it stays like this. They are a good side for sure. Chelsea have looked dangerous all night though and Alvaro Morata should have levelled.

  8. Celtic in troublepublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Bad news for Celtic fans...

PSG have taken the lead at home to Anderlecht through Marco Verratti.

Celtic, still 1-0 down to Bayern Munich, cannot finish in the top two as it stands.

  9. 'Lukaku isolated'published at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Manchester United 0-0 Benfica

    Ian Dennis
Football commentator on Radio 5 live at Old Trafford

At times in this first half, Romelu Lukaku has been quite isolated up front for Manchester United.

As I say that, Anthony Martial drives forward to support him.

  10. CLOSE!published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Manchester United 0-0 Benfica

Chance for Romelu Lukaku! He gets up well at the far post but the cross is slightly over his head and he can't keep it down. Over.

  11. A free-kick?published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 1-0 Chelsea

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live in Rome

That looked like a free-kick. This is a good spell for Chelsea.

Eden Hazard is really rolling around on the floor though...

It is no wonder he is still on the floor, the boot went right down the back of his Achilles.

  12. Postpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Celtic 0-1 Bayern

They are down but not out - Celtic are playing really well. Moussa Dembele plays a fine one-two with Stuart Armstrong, whose return ball across the six-yard box is surely going to be a tap-in until Jerome Boateng turns it away.

  13. Elsewhere in Europepublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

Sporting Lisbon have taken the lead against Juventus through Bruno Cesar.

The Portuguese side will go out if Barcelona better their result this evening, but the Catalan giants are still being held in Athens against Olympiakos.

    Sporting keeping their hopes alive...

  14. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 1-0 Chelsea

LOUD NOISES. The booing is immense as Chelsea keep the ball for a long, long time. They are on top. Marcos Alonso's cross is hacked away and Eden Hazard then wants a foul right on the edge of the area.

That's nasty from Alessandro Florenzo, who treads on Hazard's Achilles. He doesn't even get a free-kick.

  15. The beautiful Sudpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 1-0 Chelsea

    George Cummins
    BBC Radio 5 live

We may be 60m away from the pitch but we aren't far away from the noise.

This end is the Curva Sud. The Roma fans have been very noisy since kick off but then they did have the perfect start after going one nil up after 43 seconds.

Antonio Conte, as ever, is very animated on the touchline.

  16. Morata confidence gone?published at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 1-0 Chelsea

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live in Rome

Alvaro Morata should have scored. It is an absolute sitter! It falls into the six yard box and all he has to do is hit the target.

Morata missed two really good chances at Bournemouth on the weekend and he's not scored for five games.

I just wonder if his confidence has been knocked. He had to score that!

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Manchester United 0-0 Benfica

Schoolboy error. Jesse Lingard goes off for some treatment, doesn't wait for permission to come on and is booked by the ref for his cheek as he comes back into midfield.

  18. CLOSE!published at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Roma 1-0 Chelsea

Great play again, Eden Hazard. He collects the ball in the 10 role, spins away from a challenge and thumps a shot straight at Allison.

    AND HE MUST SCORE!

Bad miss from Alvaro Morata. Really bad. Aleksandar Kolarov miscues a clearance into a Chelsea shirt and it falls for Morata sx yards out. Anywhere will do - just not in Row Z which is where he put it.

  20. No midfield?published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Manchester United 0-0 Benfica

I wouldn't say United have been bossing the midfield - as this touchmap shows (United on the left).

Not much action in the centre circle either.
