Will tonight mark the end of an era for Atletico Madrid?

Regardless of what they do at Stamford Bridge, if Roma beat Qarabag on home soil tonight, they will exit the Champions League at the group stage for the first time since 2009-2010.

For the past four seasons, Diego Simeone's side have been one of the heavyweights in this competition, reaching two finals, a semi-final and a quarter-final.

The team news will be released shortly. Jose Mourinho told the media yesterday that Paul Pogba will start tonight following his red card vs Arsenal in the Premier League. He will now miss the games against Man City, Bournemouth and West Brom domestically.

And will we see Luke Shaw? Eight hours ago he posted a picture of himself on Instagram, external saying he is #ready. His former team-mate at Southampton, Jose Fonte replied "Come on bro!! Its your time to shine."

  3. They'd take 0-6...published at 18:32 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

Manchester United v CSKA Moscow (19:45 GMT)

Manchester United are basically already through to be honest.

Even a 6-0 defeat tonight would see them through, so we can almost count that as four Premier League teams through.

Liverpool need a point on Wednesday - so it could be a very heavy English presence once knockout football resumes after Christmas.

We could be on the brink of history in the Champions League. No country has ever had five teams in the last 16 of the competition.

Tonight, Manchester United should make it four Premier League sides through, with Liverpool looking to make it a clean sweep on Wednesday.
