  1. 'We deserved to win the game'published at 22:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Chelsea 1-1 Atletico Madrid

More from Antonio Conte: "It was a good game. I think we deserved to win the game when you create so many chances, some important chances.

"We went 1-0 down but we tried to win, we must be pleased as it was a really tough group.

"Atletico in the past played a fantastic Champions League."

    On Atletico's keeper Jan Oblak:

"The goalkeeper was the best player for them and in other circumstances we could be more accurate to finish."

    On the next round:

"When you play this competition and you go through you must be ready to face the best teams.

"We can play against PSG, Barca or Besiktas, you have to be ready. It is a fantastic competition, the best, and you have to be ready for everything."

  2. Sounds familiar...published at 22:27 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Chelsea 1-1 Atletico Madrid

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte: "We tried to play our game and win. In the first half we tried to push, we created many chances to score and we conceded a goal from a corner.

"When you play this way and create so much you must be satisfied.

"Our opponent won't be happy to play against us."

  3. Who can qualify on Wednesday?published at 22:25 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

There are four places in the last 16 still up for grabs.

RB Leipzig, Liverpool, Napoli, Porto, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk and Spartak Moscow are all hoping to take one.

  4. 'No team will be pleased to play us'published at 22:22 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Manchester United 2-1 CSKA Moscow

    Manchester United

More from Jose Mourinho: "I am not the luckiest guy with draws, it is better I shut up and I forget it because we only play in February.

"Until then I have to concentrate on the English competitions, I think it doesn't matter the team we get in the draw.

"That team will not be jumping with happiness to play against us. I don't think so."

  5. A new challengepublished at 22:18 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Chelsea 1-1 Atletico Madrid

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Stamford Bridge

I have just asked Diego Simeone if he is concerned Atletico Madrid's group stage exit will trigger the break up of his squad.

    Answer was emphatic.

"No. On the contrary. It is a new challenge. Everything that is bad, we make it into a positive."

  6. The (comparitively) old and the newpublished at 22:18 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Bayern Munich 3-1 PSG

Robert Lewandowski has now scored 43 Champions League goals – one more than Alessandro Del Piero, and one fewer than Didier Drogba.

At 18y 11m, Kylian Mbappe is the youngest player to reach 10 Champions League goals.

  7. If there's one man who can find the positives...published at 22:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Celtic 0-1 Anderlecht

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers: "Overall, the best team won, but the bigger picture was to get through to the Europa League by finishing third and that would be a massive achievement.

"We were the fourth seeds coming into this and there is immense pride that we got the job done.

"But we have a lot of work to do at this level, but we can look forward to the Europa League in February."

  8. 'Shaw made a great contribution'published at 22:10 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho tells BT Sport: "We confirmed our progression but in the way we wanted to. We played well and got the result. At half-time we were playing well and I was not unhappy. The boys played professionally .

"If I could choose goalscorers, I would always choose the strikers. Their confidence depends on that sometimes. Romelu Lukaku's work for the team every match is crazy. The goal was important for Marcus Rashford too.

"Luke Shaw offensively was very good and made a great contribution for the team. Sergio Romero is only on the bench this season because we have David de Gea.

"The first impression for the first goal was offside but then we saw it was not. The team showed the desire in the second half not by losing and going through, but to win.

"Shaw had waited for a long time, it is not easy to give an opportunity to a player in matches when we need results. I wanted to make changes, but Luke managed 90 minutes and I told him it is a opportunity to increase his levels."

  10. 'Europa League - That was our aim'published at 22:07 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Celtic 0-1 Anderlecht

Celtic captain Scott Brown told BT Sport: "We knew what we had to do and had to dig deep at some point and we managed to get through to the Europa League and that was our aim at the start.

"Yes, it was a little bit frustrating. The first half especially, we didn't manage to keep the ball.

"They played their formation and kept the ball really well and were very, very patient and looked like they were the team that was going to score a goal in the first half.

"We still tried to play our normal game and play out from the back. They pressed us really high up the park and put us under a lot of pressure."

  11. Planning ahead?published at 22:04 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Manchester United 2-1 CSKA Moscow

    Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata tells BT Sport: "We needed to win, we only needed a point, but we always want to win. We are so happy, we face the weekend game with good momentum.

"It is important to win for your confidence level, Sunday is a big game (against Manchester City), we know how important it is, tomorrow we rest then on Thursday we will think about the game and hopefully we can get the three points."

On whether CSKA Moscow's first goal was offside, Mata added: "It is a new rule and we asked the referee, we saw that Daley (Blind) was off the pitch and we have to be careful with that."

Marcus Rashford, who scored the second goal, added: "It is always a good feeling to get on the scoresheet.

"We have a good squad and this is when the squad comes into play."

  13. 'Shaw came here with a point to prove'published at 21:52 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Manchester United 2-1 CSKA Moscow

    Ally McCoist
Former Scotland striker on BBC Radio 5 live at Old Trafford

I thought Luke Shaw was excellent. I was delighted for him and you could feel Old Trafford willing him to do well.

Shaw invited Moscow to take him on, such was his confidence and pace to see off (Mario) Fernandes. He took the ball off him and came up field with pace.

His link-up play with with Juan Mata was the highlight of the game. Shaw came here with a point to prove and he passed it with flying colours.

United have some great strength and pace and Shaw was a big part of that today.

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill on BT Sport: "We more than deserved the win, we had some fantastic chances. How have we not won? We should have won.

"You can pick holes in any goal you concede but overall our performance was good. Jan Oblak was fantastic today, he's had an amazing game."

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard: "Their goalkeeper was on fire. We should top the group but it's a good draw, Atletico are very strong. We are happy.

"It's not a problem who we get, we are Chelsea. We know PSG and Barcelona are very good but we are a top team too. We can do anything."

    Monday morning.

Remember, Premier League sides cannot be drawn against each other and you can't play a team from your own group either.

Should Liverpool win their group then Chelsea can only get PSG, Barcelona or Besiktas.

Manchester United could get Bayern Munich, Juventus, Sevilla, Shakhtar, Porto or Real Madrid as it stands (those could change on Wednesday night).

Diego Simeone wasn't hanging around after the whistle went either. He was straight down the tunnel.

The Atletico fans are singing but interesting to see what happens to their squad now.

A less than convincing European display from Celtic, but it's job done. Brendan Rodgers knows his side can’t expect a run in the Europa league playing like this, but it’s progress he wanted and it’s progress he’s got. European football post-Christmas awaits
