    Chelsea 0-0 Atletico Madrid

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Stamford Bridge

Antonio Conte had his head in his hands then as Tiemoue Bakayoko went close.

He pointed out in his programme notes that whilst Chelsea had qualified for the last 16, it was important to win the group, both for a potentially better draw and the confidence of his team.

Victory tonight would be their third win on the trot. The most they have managed so far this season is four.

They go to West Ham on Saturday lunchtime.

    Manchester United 0-0 CSKA Moscow

Daley Blind aims the corner towards Paul Pogba's head, but under pressure, he can't get much on the header and it is easily dealt with by goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev.

The CSKA corner comes to nothing, as United look to counter-attack, and within 30 seconds they win a corner of their own.

Another corner for CSKA Moscow, who are enjoying their best spell of the game so far.

    Corentin Tolisso (37 mins)

Bayern Munich have been using James Rodriguez as an out-and-out, chalk on your boots left winger so far tonight and that's why. The Colombian World Cup specialist puts over a dream of a cross from deep on the left, begging to be attacked, and Corentin Tolisso does just that. He thumps a header down into the net. Bayern would win the group with a 4-0 victory...

    Manchester United 0-0 CSKA Moscow

Once again Vitinho has a shooting chance after a careless pass from Juan Mata puts his team under pressure in their own penalty area.

Luke Shaw slides in to win the ball fairly, it drops for Vitinho but he gets his effort totally wrong and it is of no threat to Sergio Romero's goal.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Chelsea 0-0 Atletico Madrid

Good save again! Davide Zappacosta gets the ball on the left, good ball from Cesc Fabregas, and like an inverse Arjen Robben it is obvious that he wants to come inside.

Thomas Partey shows him inside obligingly and the Italian hits a low shot which is well kept out by Jan Oblak. That was low and into the corner.

A lovely ball from Paul Pogba over the top of the CSKA Moscow defence releases Romelu Lukaku down the left.

However, the ball doesn't sit up nicely for the Belgian and he has to wait for it to to drop, therefore losing the chance to shoot at goal as the angle is too narrow. He opts instead to set up a team-mate, but his pull-back misses everyone. Chance wasted.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2017

    Bayern 1-0 PSG

What a save that is! Neymar looks likely to equalise with that trademark dart in from the left channel but as he curls into the bottom corner Sven Ulreich makes a superb fingertip save.

    Chelsea 0-0 Atletico Madrid

Lucas Hernandez is a player in Diego Simeone's own mould. He was booked early on for a bodycheck and now he volleys the back of Alvaro Morata's legs as they go up for a header. He's perhaps lucky not to be shown a second yellow already.

Chelsea break into the area with first Eden Hazard and then Victor Moses but they can't quite find a killer cross.

    Manchester United 0-0 CSKA Moscow

A half chance for the visitors as a low corner from the right wing is not cleared by the hosts and it falls to an unmarked Vasili Berezutski 15 yards out. But the centre-half shows just why he is a centre-half, with an awful, sliced finish.

Still, Jose Mourinho will not be too impressed with his side's marking then.

Alvaro Morata looks super sharp tonight, dancing away from defenders with ease. He is fouled, and from the free-kick there's a half chance for Eden Hazard, but he mistimes his swing at it and miskicks into a defender. Decent chane for the Chelsea 10.

We've just seen Luke Shaw put a foot wrong for the first time this evening. On his return to the Manchester United starting line-up he's been bright, bold and warmly welcomed by the home fans

But he couldn't quite control that first-time cross - it spun just beyond Marcus Rashford's reach.

On the whole though Jose Mourinho should be impressed with what he's seen - so far.

United, for the last five or 10 minutes, have shown a willingness to get forward.

The quicker they can get it to Rashford and Lukaku, the better. They just need to keep exploiting those spaces.
